Didn't see the game nor do I want to but by all accounts it was an optimistically good outing. I've heard no gators complaining but that will make it better when we play you. I don't want aby down and out team rolling like GA just may do.

People keep saying Richt knows it's his ass, Fulmer was proof sometimes when you need it most it's already too late. I think it's too late for Richt. Last night was the beginning of whatever end he comes to. Was Boise higher ranked, yes. But should GA have won, somehow? Heck yes, based solely on recruiting if all coaching factors were calculated equal.

IMO our FL game will be either the beginning or end of DD's career. He knows it and we'll win. Not because Muschamp is bad just because this is one light UT team, no stress going into the swamp. Big plays may suffer on the road but the pressure at home is always on the home team, especially when favored.

Wow...So you want me to tell you all about how great your team is after beating FAU?....Let me repeat that again....FAU...They looked good BECAUSE you beat up on what is more or less a glorified high school team....And nothing more....You don't see us proclaiming UT as a east contender after beating Montana and We were without doubt more impressive than UF....But then again as one of my gator friends at work said today, "UF's fanbase is the most delusional in college sports"....And he's right...You are just a great example of that quote :salute:

So, basically all you just did was twist his words into making him look like a delusional Gator fan? Comon man... Did you actually read his post?

He NEVER said UF looked great. And I'm sorry, but some of your fanbase is on the forums bragging about how great Bray is, after beating MONTANA... Seriously, watch what you post before you post it.

I read his post just fine....Did you? :ermm: He said UF was clearly better than last year and he's basing it on beating FAU....By the way read the name of the board...This is VOLnation...If some of my fanbase want to beat their chests and brag about how great Bray played or whatever they have that right....This is OUR board....Not hearing from me one way or another yet as UT hasn't beaten anyone noteworthy yet....Why are all you gator fans over here anyways?...Why not go over to your own board and brag about how great you think UF is?...We go over there and We get banned and yet you feel the need to come here.

Actually, I was told by some of my Volunteer friends that this was a great forum, so I drop by to read and discuss football.

But it is kind of funny that you say that because basically you state that you know some of your fanbase is delusional, yet you choose to point out that a few UF fans THINK this team might be better from last year. Trust me saying UF might be good, doesn't mean they will turn into 96, 06, or 08 UF.

florida isn't perfect by any stretch of the imagination. it's hard to tell how good you are physically when in a mismatch of that sort.

however, i'll tell you what doesn't matter with regard to opponent that i did see. truth be told i was kind of shocked by it.

i didn't see a missed blocking assignment. i didn't see a receiver run the wrong route. i didn't see a defensive player out of position.

considering the level of ineptitude last season, that was pretty impressive.

about the only thing that was bonehead the whole evening was one bad snap. in a weird way, i was happy to see it only to see how brantley, the center and the team in general would react. faced with 3rd and a country mile, no one went into "here we go again" except for some folks in the stands. brantley hit a receiver for about a 13 yard gain or so, putting the team back into field goal position. it's a small thing and not really too big a deal, but you never know just how mentally fragile a team or player can be after the experience of last season.

week 2 will be interesting

Que someone coming in and saying DELUSIONAL FLORIDA FAN :)

I kid, but in all seriousness, this is what I and other Gator fans have said, and we've promptly had our heads ripped off for it.

Stop putting words in my mouth. 6 months ago, we didn't think UF had a shot in hell at winning the east.

It's not about WHO UF played or about how many points they scored, but FUNDAMENTALLY how they played the game.

The team was far better organized, coached, and prepared than IN ANY GAME in 2010.

Clearly though, based on my previous post, you A) Don't know WTF you are talking about AND B) are hating.

I think it's a little early to start hanging DD's fate on the outcome of one game. He needs to beat a couple of good teams this year to get some momentum for the program.

Mark Richt has had ten years and with the talent he's brought in has underacheived bigtime with it. If this year goes bad for him, he's out.

Well said...Too bad some of your brethern don't see things the same way...I saw improvement, but as you said you can't tell how good you are yet after playing someone of that quality.

Funny, the Gator fans have been saying this for the past 2 days on this board, yet we are all considered arrogant homers.
