Florida Fan Delusion

From their Rivals site...

Where to begin?

1. So, I guess we should just excuse the legitimate cheating that occurred in the 80's and 90's?

2. UF has not played an out-of-Florida non-conference road game (not named FSU or Miami) in a LONG time (try 1991-ish). Anyone, anywhere, anytime? Lol.

Is there really a need for Florida to play a non-conference game outside of Florida if they play FSU every year? Tennessee schedules one non patsy every year, while Florida plays FSU every year and will schedule Miami on occasion. Sounds about equal to me.

The SEC gauntlet is brutal, I think Tennessee and Florida deserve credit for scheduling the teams they do.

Nah...UF deserves less credit. Sorry dude.

Your fans are pathetic and your coach is awful. I'm really happy that you people think he's a good coach. He's going to drive that thing into the ground similar to Dooley did here. You see those belk commercials? He looks like an idiot.

yeah he is awful, winning the East last year with a shell of an offense and so far this year one loss! Yet Butch has Tn back when they easily could have 4 losses this year that was supposed to be their year (App St and Georgia needed breaks and prayers). Give me a break. Who is delusional now?

Because it doesnt fit the narrative of being victims. Victims despite getting the competitive advantage of 2 bye weeks to heal.

It certainly doesn't fit the narrative of UF intentionally trying to duck playing an LSU squad without Fournette, a couple starting linemen and a starting QB who couldn't beat beat out Austin Appleby at Purdue.

And logistically it's much easier to get 18 volleyball players on the road on short notice than an entire football team when you consider coaching staff, support staff, equipment, etc.

And we open with Michigan in Dallas next year to start the season. Well said Jackaro.....FSU is usually top 10 every year regardless of in state matchup.

Well, first you said it was for the families. Now it's logistics. Stop changing the argument. Was it about the families? And if so, why are football families more important than soccer and volleyball families?

It's actually both...

Getting a football team on the road requires more time, effort and coordination than the volleyball team.

And I'm sure it was easy for Mary Wise to contact the two volleyball players' parents who were potentially in harm's way...as opposed to 53 on the football team.

Sure. Because no other team has ever had to manage those logistics. It's unpossible.

Those soccer and volleyball families? Yeah, **** them. They're not important.

Gator logic: It's safer to stay in the hurricane area.

Foley chose not to take that chance of managing those logistics, and you can easily argue he took too long to come to that conclusion.

1) mad we might back into it 2) reality of Alabama

As long as you earn it on the field and play your schedule you can't back into it.

Not playing the LSU game and the SEC not calling you on it would have been backing into it. Yes we know that isn't going to happen. Now.

While I won't be happy if you win out there really isn't a damn thing I can say.

The reality of Alabama exists for all 13 of the rest of us. Some of us more than others.

You didn't have to send your players anywhere. LSU was willing to play you guys Saturday night Sunday and even Monday. Why were you guys going to ship your football players anywhere that weekend?

I'm not beating you up, hopefully it doesn't come off that way.

The decision was not to decide, it was very obvious to me and others. He basically chose to not play the game if the cover was in the area by Thursday. This decision was actually made on Monday - Tuesday, and even by Wednesday they still didn't even move the kickoff back for obvious reasons.

At the very least you move the kickoff back to late afternoon, and the game would have probably been played with or without a crowd with LSU flying in on A.M morning.

Y'all won the east and had players doing roids. Let's no brag to much about last year's coaching performance. I know and you know that Florida has a bafoon for a coach. As time progresses it's ever more clear. I mean, sh*t, you're best player got burned by a true sophomore. We came back on your sorry a** when y'all were up 21-0! Hey, I hope he does just enough to stay there. Guaranteed wins for us.
