I miss the Florida series being what it was from '98 to '06. Those were some of the best and most intense games I've ever seen. Even the ones we lost were fun to be a part of. We have to get back to making a game of this again. We will really lament not beating Florida with Muschamp if it works out that way. They will never have another coach this bad again.

I agree.

Miami was "back" after beating UF last year.

UF was "back" after beating LSU a couple years ago.

UT is "back" after last year's South Carolina game.

Back where? It's like we all went on a trip somewhere and no one expected us to return.

When people stop talking about it or asking about it. Your there.
Until then, wherever "back" actually is you re not there.

As the season wore on it became apparent that UF had a better football team than UT in 2012.

It may very well be overplayed, but you also know very well the reason the season ended the way it did.

Florida is going to have a good year. And they are going to beat UT in Neyland. I hate be a buzzkill, Tennessee is going to surprise some people this year, and I think we will have a better year than people think, but IMO we are more likely to beat Oklahoma than Florida. And yes I'm serious.

Based on recent history, we have a better chance to beat the Seahawks than the Gators.

I do believe there has been a mental aspect when we've played Florida for the past 20 years. However, for the first time in that long, I think that "we can't win attitude" is out the door. Thanks to Butch Jones I believe that attitude has changed. I'm not saying we beat Florida, but I bet they don't get scared and quit!

I just watch uf win. They are hungry with a good offense. A bad match up for us.

In 2012 we also had the Dooley syndrome going on so that's kind of an unfair assessment.

By "back" I mean competitive in the East and maybe going to the SEC CG. It doesn't take but one or two games for any team to make the jump into the lead in this division. Let's face it, the SEC East has that tendency to have some pretty screwy situations that determine the leader.

So I'll agree that "back" would be an 8 win season.

the best team never dominates the division. even undefeated teams have 2-3 close calls. uga will be tested. don't be surprised if usc beats them. or auburn. or missouri. uf will be tough as usual.

You know what? Usually the look horrible in their first game and they always beat us. So they look good...yup we are going to beat them

Our Defense should slow down Florida alot this year. Running the ball will be tough with AJ Johnson, Derek Barnett, Jalen Reeves Maybin, and Owen WIlliams in our front seven.
