Florida Georgia "swap"

Does Florida ever play anyone OOC outside of the State of Florida? Yeah, I still think not.

They play FSU every year and have played Miami at times AND every other year they give up a home game to go play UGA in Jacksonville. It makes zero sense for them to jack up their schedule with even a marginal out of state, OOC opponent.

i still want to know why the swap

like was said earlier,it doesn't make a damn when they play, they both have the same amount of time to get ready, now some fans will say they have had to much time to get ready for UT

it is hell or high water,be ready to play

If Florida went 1-11 this season and I had to bet my life savings on who they beat, I would go all in on it being Tennessee.

Absolutely no doubt about it. The fact that they manhandled us last year while getting manhandled themselves by Georgia Southern in a 4 win season is damn near all the proof you need.

Every time I am in the Miami airport I wonder if I am even in the states...possibly Cuba or Mexico?:)

There again, I think a lot of that is a byproduct of the schedule. Florida in September merely viewed themselves as a team struggling a little offensively. Florida in November had flat out quit. When I saw Ga Southern score their winning TD untouched on a simple sweep, I've never been more sure that a team had given up.

I don't understand. Why will swapping the dates these games are played make a difference? Why will we have a better chance to beat either of them because of it? Honest question.

Although still hot, playing at swamp in October is far less excruciating than playing mid September. Also the climate in Knoxville will be cooler as well removing some advantage Florida has had.

Wish game was in November.

There's no doubt that Florida was a different team in November because of all their injuries. If this were an isolated case then we could debate a little bit. However, the fact Florida has won 9 in a row, 16 of 20, 19 of 25 tells me that no matter the circumstances, be they in our favor or Florida's favor, the outcome is always the same.....Florida owns Tennessee.

Surely you guys remember 2001? If we had played them second game of the season we would have lost!

UF has the best CB in all of college football. And he is only a soph now. I think their secondary will be ok.

He's pretty impressive. But they lost 3 other starters. Also one guy can only cover one guy.

PS Cam Sutton had a similar year, obviously Hardgraves is better but I like Suttons chances of being a good CB.

It isn't always the same, you yourself acknowledge that UT does win somewhere between 20-25% of the games against UF.

That is right around what should be expected when two teams meet and one consistently has more talent than the other.

Good points, except Jacksonville is a de facto home game...kind of like TN playing ARK in Oak Ridge or Marysville.
