so are many pro teams and any college team not at it's peak right now

its too easy to relax at home and watch it.

Lack of student attendance just sucks. We made a day and night of it.

It's that way here in Florida.....If the teams aren't winning then the fans aren't coming to the games...And to think UF fans laugh at Miami fans for not showing up for home games....UF isn't much better when they aren't winning..typical bunch of bandwagoning New Yorkers for fans.

Couldn't have said it better myself. The TB Rays also have pathetic support, even when they won the division not long ago.

The bandwagon has stopped and people are getting off in Gainesville. Imagine that.

Just think of all of the empty seats there will be in the swamp after we beat them this year.

Here's a pic of their 2013 home opener...

I've noticed a lot less Gator stickers on vehicles in Knoxville over the past few years.

Not to defend UF, but the situation at home ain't much better. I think many programs are suffering as well. HD TVs are much cheaper than annual contributions on top of ticket costs.

It's weird because I've been to Gainesville. There isn't much going on. They've pretty much got a captive audience.

"Naw, man, I've always been a Bama fan."

I actually saw one of UT's campus grounds keepers/maintenance men (not football related, but just for the campus at large) mowing the other day with an Alabama hat on. I have to admit it was one of the most disgusting things I've ever seen in my life, and I say that in all sincerity not just casual disgust. If I was his boss, I would have told him to remove the cap. That kind of crap does not reflect well on the university, and, quite frankly, just makes you look like a jackwagon.

Edit: To be fair, the guy was on a riding-mower on the stretch of ground between Neyland parking deck and Neyland Dr. That may be the duty of the City of Knoxville, so he could have been a city worker. I very much doubt it though, as I would think the university would probably still handle that stretch. Considering how frequently it is mowed, I would highly doubt the city mows it. Probably would only get done every other month if that was the case.
