Florida is going down.

Florida always beats UT, its just what they do.

I've got to think if UT can win it next year then Muschamp is a dead man walking. It would be clear evidence the two programs are moving in opposite directions. The last straw, so to speak.

UF has a 5 game advantage in the all time series, 24-19. So no UF doesn't always beat UT.

Saw a blurb where Kurt Roper, OC at Duke could be an option. IMO, Muskrat will have a hard time selling a quality OC to get on board his little boat. Promoting Joker Phillips may be his best option.

Phillips should have been promoted five minutes after Pease was fired.

No one in their right mind would sign up for one season with a lame duck coach.

LW, IMO Joker will be the OC. This is very similar to the case when Fulmer was looking for a new OC and Dooley was replacing the DC. When the HC is on the hot seat its hard to get the home run hire.

They sure as hell have for the last 30+ years. They are a win away from making it a solid decade streak right now. I need convincing that it is even possible for Tennessee to beat Florida any more. Georgia Southern and Vanderbilt did it in a year where the Gators did their usual prison pounding of UT. They had a bad year and still beat us. We've had a bad decade and lost every time. You can just add it to the loss column.

1916-1953 UT won 10 straight
1953-2004 UF won 15 of 24
2005-2013 UF won 9 straight
Merry Christmas to you too.

A UT win would be another step in the unnecessarily long process of UF forcing Muschamp out the door. UF fans now take UT for granted as a win, so a loss to us would cause yet another meltdown.

We don't take a UT win for granted as much as we marvel at how some of our least talented teams find a way to beat you guys.

UT beating UF next season is a good thing for UF long term.

Probably because your "least" talented team STILL had MORE talent and experience than Tennessee managed to have on the roster. The VOLS haven't even been a middle of the pack SEC team in years, so that's not a win to be boasting of.

I'm not so sure that a UT win will be a "good" thing for UF in the long term future. The last time Florida football was in a similar position was with the hiring of Urban Meyer. Most knew the success would follow Meyer if given the time and opportunity. However, Miami was one year away at the time from entering mediocrity and 3rd or 4th best team in the state, along with Florida State. At that time, FSU was not a serious contender or threat to Florida's reign...so the situation was just right for Meyer at the time. Finally, take into consideration the overall quality of the conference at that time. The SEC was still mainly a 3/4 team conference, completely different from what we have today.

At this point, you have a completely different situation with Florida's rivals and the recruiting talent in the state isn't there for UF to continue picking and choosing whomever they want. The conference and scheduling doesn't exactly favor Florida as it has in the past.

If the unthinkable happens and Florida has another dreadful season and releases CWM and his staff, I'm suspecting that Florida will be entering a rebuilding era and not a reloading phase as some of the Gator faithful believe. The hiring of Meyer was a gift and a great asset to UF but the times have changed since '05.

First off, no one was boasting. To your own point, beating UT doesn't mean what it used to. Hell, beating Florida doesn't mean what it used to.

Secondly, UT's 2012 squad was easily more talented offensively.

Lastly, no one on this board suggested UF would simply reload with or without Muschamp after next season.

In fact, you be surprised at how well certain UF fans are handling the current state of affairs. Our last losing season was 33 years ago...every SEC school has had at least FOUR losing seasons during that timeframe.

UF is looking up at FSU and Miami for the time being. In the meantime l'll patiently wait for Jeremy Foley to fire the clown running our football program.

Don't know about next year, but I love the fact they moved the Florida game down the schedule some.Gives us a little more time to get some kinks worked out. It's always been to Florida's advantage to play us the 2nd or 3rd game.IMO

2012 being the exception.

Yes, thanks to a national championship caliber defense.

You also had a fantastic offensive line, good running game and awesome special teams. We were only better at 3 positions on field.

WR #1
WR#2
QB barely

Everything else you either had better or was a push. Why wouldn't you win convincing against us last year?

:eek:lol: @ QB barely

UT was favored to win last year, and there were threads about whether or not winning the game, as a home favorite, warranted rushing the field.

Perhaps I should ask you what went wrong...in hindsight no one knew UT's defense sucked worse than UF's offense.

What went wrong is a lack of depth and coaching. Similar to what has happened to you two of the past three seasons.

Not really much of an advantage next year seeing that UT has to play at Oklahoma and at Georgia before they play UF.
