Im gonna wait until I can see both of them in the 1st game. Hard to say which one is gonna be the gamer and Im betting CWM is wanting to see this also.

Oh, no doubt. Performance at kyle.field and in neyland will be a big.factor.

That tamu game week two will be veeeeery interesting

He ran Doug Johnson and Jesse Palmer out there all season long in 2000. You should read a little more then respond. He says they had success with a two qb system in the past. Only one guy ran anything like that , and it was Spurrier.

Leak and tebow?

Absolutely. All those years of UF playing pattie cakes for two weeks leading up to our game is officially over. Hopefully the tide will turn and we can rip off 5 or so in a row against them. But for now I'll take the first one in years and be happy.

Tell that to 2005 Alabama. They won 10 games with no offense whatsoever.
That being said, I'm not worried about two QB's. UF has had a lot of luck with 2 QB's in the last 2 decades.
Now if they both suck, obviously, two or one, it doesn't really matter. Time will tell. I think the doom and gloom about Florida is slightly exaggerated right now.
Especially from a team that hasn't beaten us in almost 8 years now. :)

A friend of mine, miami fan, just passed this along from canesport. He said its from a reliable poster. Prob BS. Just thought I would share.

Inside news on Gator Reply
I don't get inside info but I happen to have gotten this from real close.
Jeff Driskell broke his shoulder blade on his non throwing side. *It's not being made public.
I'm not sure how bad that is, but there it is.

Really. I had no clue Leak was the starter. C'mon dude that cliche is old. 2 qb systems are not always successful but UF has had more than their share of success utilizing multiple qb's. One of our better years in this past decade was with Ainge and Schaeffer. Spurrier did it multiple times in his career.

Refresh my memory...exactly how much did Schaeffer play in the latter half of the year?

If thats all you took out of the post then I dont need to debate with you. Continue overlooking our most formidable opponent and see what continues to happen.

Officially going with the two QB system (barring injury precluding Driskel from contact).

Gators, quarterbacks: Will Muschamp says Jacoby Brissett, Jeff Driskel will share Gators' starting quarterback job - Orlando Sentinel

Muschamp says its because we can win with both of them in there. Uh huh. Sure.

I read that to mean he doesn't have confidence in either one. Even if you have two QBs who are outstanding, you still pick one, imo.

Awesome.

Nice job hedging your bets there. Now you can really downplay the impact if your guys lose on the 15th at Neyland.

We've beaten you guys with a garbage team the past two years...at some point our luck has to run out.
Excuse me, I have got to point out that your "garbage" teams were some of the highest ranked trash in the nation. We should be so lucky.

U coming to Knoxville LW?

I'm sitting this one out BV. I'll be in Lakeland playing in a charity golf tournament gameday morning, then watching the game at at a friend's house later that evening. First UF-UT game I'll miss since 1992.

One of our tailgate crew passed away from ALS three years ago, and we've sponsored a golf tournament every year since to raise money and awareness for that awful disease. It was originally scheduled for 9/28, but we had to reschedule it for the 14th.

Recerring to your recruiting classes. Urban mailed it in, but talent was, and still is, there.

And all of that talent plays on one side of the ball. Meyer's all-world class from 2010 had attrition from some key offensive recruits...Coxson, Christian, Dunkley and Robert Clark come to mind. Throw in Mike Blakely and A.C Leonard from last year's class also.

Meyer's offensive recruiting fell off after Billy Gonzalez left for LSU, particularly at WR. Andre Debose hasn't lived up to the Percy comparisons coming out of high school, Quinton Dunbar won't be mistaken for Louis Murphy, and we can't seem to keep TEs on the roster.

Brantley was a straight up 5* bust. Hopefully Driskel won't be another.

Hate to hear you having to miss. Sounds like a great idea for a great cause. Good luck, and I hope its a success.

I will attend the game and let you know how it goes...well maybe.

Sounds like a plan...guess I'll have to wait until 2014 for Coach Grizz to buy me that beer he owes me. :)
