Officially going with the two QB system (barring injury precluding Driskel from contact).
Gators, quarterbacks: Will Muschamp says Jacoby Brissett, Jeff Driskel will share Gators' starting quarterback job - Orlando Sentinel
Muschamp says its because we can win with both of them in there. Uh huh. Sure.
I read that to mean he doesn't have confidence in either one. Even if you have two QBs who are outstanding, you still pick one, imo.
Awesome.
There's an old saying about QBs, if you have two you've got none. UF has always found ways to win so we shall see.
93 - Dean/Wuerffel
97 - Johnson/Brindise/Palmer
98 - Johnson/Palmer
00 - Palmer/Grossman
06 - Leak/Tebow
There's a bit of a precedent, at UF at least, to conclude that a 2 QB system can work.
That said, I'm of the opinion Muschamp wants to use the Bowling Green game as a dress rehearsal to see who starts at TAMU and UT.
Who, on OSU's offensive side of the ball was a more elite prospect than UF's?
I don't keep up with Ohio State's recruiting.
Over the past two years UF lost "elite" recruits like Chris Dunkley, Ja'Juan Story, Adrian Coxson, A.C. Leonard, Gerald Christian and Mike Blakely on offense, while 5* recruits like John Brantley, Deonte Thompson, James Wilson and Andre Debose didn't, or up to this point haven't lived up to expectations.
Really not the point. Comparing the programs, recruiting wise, OSU falls short yet Espn is loving on them. What is the big difference? He is going to win more with less talented recruits? And lets say he does just that... Does that mean the recruiting services have it wrong or does it mean Urban is a better coach with someone elses recruits..?
Recruiting based on total class ranking when they all signed, or based on who's left from those classes? I have no idea where the Buckeye's signees ranked coming out of high school, let alone who left the program after Signing Day.
Urban proved in 2006 he can win with someone else's recruits, and he just so happens to be a damn good football coach. That's why ESPN is slurping him all the time.
And yes, recruiting services don't always get it right.
If thats all you took out of the post then I dont need to debate with you. Continue overlooking our most formidable opponent and see what continues to happen.
