Zook ever lost 6 games in consecutive years.

He tried like hell though.

He gave it his best shot. I have to admit, I was a frequent visitor to firezook.com, and those sites are generally not my style.

Muschamp better get it together or Spurrier is going to clean his clock, and then give him a verbal beatdown to go with it.

Id be a big fan of coher$ing Spurrier back to town. (but I know it will never happen)

When Muschamp was hired, I watched his press conference and came away thinking he looked like an 8-4 coach. Something was missing.

Spurrier had his day in Gainesville. There's no way he would have the same fire and energy at his age, and the program needs to sustain success over several coaching staffs. Spurrier coming back would do more harm than good long term imo.

I think you guys should give the Zooker another another shot.

lol the SEC was a lot weaker back then man. C'mon.
And despite what mama Dooley thinks, Corch Meyers left our offense in a mess.

Oh I don't disagree.

I just don't know how much time you give Muschamp to prove he can actually coach or recruit anything other than defensive personnel.

It's just a conspiracy from the football illuminati to make Florida irrelevant so FSU can join the SEC next year. That's all.....nothing to see here.

Then he's gonna lose more kids, because Muschamp doesn't have the track record to demand that of any high school recruit.

It's as though his approach is, "Hey kid, commit now or there won't be a spot for you". The kid commits early, only to realize he passed an official visit(s) to sample FSU or Auburn's coeds...or was just flat out pressured too much to begin with, then has a change of heart.

Probably learned that from his time at Texas. Not gonna work in the SEC.

OL recruiting took a big hit but with four decommits we're lucky we didnt lose any key members of the class

Only our key positions of need at this point....OL and WR. Come on man....

Unless Bailey stops pouting and commits, and we land a couple highly coveted o-linemen, this is not good news.

It's also very easy for rival coaches to recruit against a coach with no head coaching pedigree whose had 4 defections in a very short timeframe, regardless of position.

That's four stories getting blown out of proportion by families, HS coaching staffs and the recuits themselves, regardless of the facts. Muschamp is in no position to burn bridges at this point in his career.

IF muschamp fails, who is on your short list to replace him?

Spurrier was just mentioned in fun. Love the guy, but as you say, his time has come and gone.

Ive tried to come up with a realistic short list, and when I look back over it, none of it looks realistic.

They had their chance in 90 and turned yellow. Not worthy now. :bottom:

I want FSU in the SEC. I want them to show up on gameday and wonder how 25,000 Bama fans got tickets inside their stadium.

The Atlantic Division has proven too tough for them as it is (although they should win it easily this year).

Wahhhhh,,,at least you were left with something. Ask mama Dooley what her son took over. Don't come on a VOL board whining about meyer leaving your team in a mess.
