Lol.

Rumors floating on different UF sites that Grier will be eligible at start of spring and may be back after serving a 4 game ban this season.

What's so funny about that? your quarterback is taking steroids. I guess shooting at your pregnant girlfriend must be hilarious

Funny that she walks into a health store and aks about a supplement which employee so happened to have sold to Grier but she decided almost 5 months to break story. That's what's funny.

wtf does Porter being an idiot have to do with Grier's story. I guess I could bring up AJ and Paulk in regards to crimes vs women.

"aks" subtle remark or misspell?

Someone put it in perspective very well...shooting your girlfriend or using a dead person's credit card does not make you a better football player. PEDs make you a better football player and put your opponent who is not cheating at a disadvantage. That is why there is a 365 day suspension. NCAA's history is not to waiver on suspension penalties for players being stupid and taking PEDs... no matter how "sorry" they are (or sorry they got caught more like it).

History is not on his side but there have been a few cases that were reduced.

Here's an example:

Grand Valley Lanthorn - Suspended.

I doubt he's back this season but I'm almost willing to wager he'll be cleared for the start of next season. All the UF sites are hinting at it being the remainder of this season only.

if I was UF, I would keep quiet..lot easier getting a 5 star QB if they thought that Grier would be out half the season

I've done that. Jack Daniels & Big Macs.

Sophomore and junior year of college I gained 40 pounds due to coors light in excessive amounts and constant late night taco bell. Of course none of that was muscle gain lol

Will Grier appeal update: Florida is mum about its appeal to the NCAA regarding the one-year suspension it handed down for redshirt freshman quarterback Will Grier, who the NCAA says tested positive for a substance on its banned list. And for good reason: The last thing the Gators want is to do anything that would potentially jeopardize their appeal or the potential to get Grier eligible as soon as possible.

One source with knowledge of the situation expressed to OnlyGators.com this week an overall “positive feeling” within the University Athletic Association that Florida has a “legitimate chance” to win its appeal and get Grier’s suspension reduced. Of course, that is no guarantee as the decision is up to an NCAA panel and not UF or its lawyers, but cautious optimism is absolutely the feeling within the organization. OnlyGators.com has also learned that UF’s argument was not procedural in nature (how the sample was collected or tested) but rather about the product in question. Claims of naivete or remorse will not get a suspension reduced, but if neither a player nor his school could have known that a particular product contained a banned substance, a successful appeal would at least be within the realm of possibility.

Earlier Friday, GridironNow.com filed a staff report, citing “insiders” and noting that “school officials feel relatively good” about Grier’s appeal and his ability to be eligible for the start of 2016. The website’s Mike Huguenin was first to report Grier’s suspension on Monday.

So if you only get a half of a season suspension other teams should try this. It sure helped the Gators get off to a good start.

If he came right out and said what he took I could see it reduced. Saying it was in something over the counter is laughable and I'm sure the NCAA isn't laughing!
