Wish volnation was around for the 1946 season. World war 2 has ended and the gators are winless. What a time to be alive. It looks like the last time Florida had three losing seasons in a row was 1945 (4-5-1), 1946 (0-9-0), and 1947 (4-5-1) [Florida Gators College Football History, Stats, Records | College Football at Sports-Reference.com].
We lost to them at Neyland in 1977. I was at the game sitting in I8. I remember noticing the height of Chris Collinsworth during their warmup, which was right in front of me. He was a freshman backup QB. He switched to WR the next year. Also lost to them my sophomore year in 1976. That was the game with Kelsey Finch’s 99 yard TD run which technically can never be broken. So we have a solid history of losing to them since Dickey jumped back to them to coach.0-10-1 in 1979 too. If they'd played Tennessee in the Swamp, the Vols would've figured out a way to lose to them, though.
