I was at the game. Just got back to class.
Basically, Floirda just played poorly for about a quarter on offense. A couple bobbled snaps, DT dropped a wide open 3rd down pass on the 1st drive, 2 fumbles.
They started gaining confidence at the end of the 1st. Then, when they scored on the long Cooper TD, the flood gates opened.
The defense played well all half. In the stands, we were a little unhappy with the interior Dline push, but they were playing 3 down most of the game and spreading them out to stop Troy's spread. And it worked. Troy had like 10 passing yards. Troy had a couple first down runs around the edge, and some big gainers on 3rd and long, but overall, the defense was excellent, especially on 3rd down.
Just FYI, Troy is pretty fast for a sun belt team.
