Florida's defense, the best in college football?

On a side note, it looks like Tyler Murphy has completely turned that team's offensive play around.

You're welcome.

Sorry, I liked your terrible post on accident. Freak, is there anyway I can get my like back? Eeeek

How often do you find yourself wearing crimson without really giving it a lot of thought? There could be more to this then superficial emotions that caused such a physical direct action on your part. Freudian slips and fandom "likes" can both be signs of empathy and commonality, in a sub conscience kind of way.

No, I would say the fellow in comment #9 and #11 went first. Oddly, he was the same fellow I was addressing the reply to.

You're going to have to be more specific. I can't see post numbers on mobile.

That would make me a homer, not a troller.

I look at this greatest defense title as what will be when the dust settles at the end of the schedule. The data suggest that I have a strong argument. But it's only time that will tell the story.
Troll and homer aren't mutually exclusive. You can be both.

Alabama has the best defense in the nation, again. To scientifically confirm just what an anomaly the TAMU odyssey was, statistically speaking: Alabama gave up 42 points to the aggies. BAMA has averaged giving up 4.75 points per game to everyone else. A difference of 884%.

With each passing game, BAMA continues to slow down the opposition much like a boa constrictor. Circling it's prey and slowly squeezing the life out of the victim. As the season progresses, the stats will eventually catch up with the eyes. In the meantime, believe the eyes.

This is asinine. A boa constrictor? Are you kidding me? Sorry but I very much doubt that the Bama defense is anything like a boa constrictor. This analogy is about as accurate as ole Verne attempting to pronounce an athlete's name.

Over here, it's best to just go with word pictures.
Lackluster = Tennessee.

And giving up 42 points is something that a great defense would do. We did it.

Wow the hits keep coming. A great defense would give up 42 points? Keep trying dude. Verne gets em every once in awhile too.

With each passing game... i.e:

Colorado St
Ole Miss
GA St

Here it is is the awful insults he is talking about on posts #9 and #11.....

Your presence on this board is an anomaly.

Giving up that many points to TAMU is lackluster defense

#11

I think it's Florida closely followed by Michigan State as the two best Ds in CFB. State's defense is unreal this year, which somewhat balances out their potentially program-worst offense.

Just my opinion, not sure how 9 is anywhere near an insult, and 11 is a head scratcher.

Reading comprehension and being a bammer don't go together

Troll and homer aren't mutually exclusive. You can be both.

An expression that is more than a little ironic around these parts.

A little candor and an occasional satirical fastball, it obviously freaks out the locals.

They have some excellent athletes--no doubt--but they haven't been tested by a decent SEC offense, until this weekend. If they hold LSU to < 24 points, I might consider them to be the best in the SEC up to this point.

Still a lot of football to play--and Fla's defense is very susceptible to power running teams, counters, traps, and play action--everything LSU will throw at them this weekend.....

I know that everyone one here hates the Bammers, and Tusktimes makes it easy to do so---but, I do believe at the end of the season Bama's D will have better stats than the Gators....GO VOLS! :salute:

I predict:

LSU 27 Gators 17

I doubt Chavis has figured out how to stop a mobile QB yet

It should be a good game. I think Mettenburger is better than Murray and LSU's receivers are healthy. Speaking of duos, the Gators CBs may be the best in the country. Florida is fortunate it's an afternoon game, the Tigers fans may not be in full voice yet. They just have a good buzz going at 2:30 CST on most fall Saturdays.
