i done pulling for Roddick. what a bum.

Djok is probably the biggest douchebag in all of sports. i would love to see somebody bludgeon him with a tennis racket.

i'm still getting over the initial shock, but that has to be one of the most insane post game interviews by an athlete ever.

I don't think Winslow's "soldier" interview is even in the same stratosphere

Probably Djok at this point, kpt. Congrats on Guru status, BTW.
He got booed out of the stadium last night. He's lost this crowd for the duration of the tournament. They will be against him and for Federer as much as in the Roddick match, I think. My wife just saw the post match comments by Djok and said "There's something seriously wrong with that family. I don't know who told him that he had to be an A**hole to be a winner, but somebody taught it to him." I don't know if that's true or not, but his attitude sure has to change to win fans over in NY or this house.

hold on. I think the hookup with P. McEnroe, thus Johnny Mac by osmosis, is going to get Roddick back to that forehand hammer. It was starting to come back a little bit last night.

why on earth did he try that volley shot that far back (final point) when he was running Djok all over the court? Hit the hammer down the line and worst outcome is you are forced to hit one more to the opposite side. You get the point and continue the tiebreak. But instead he got fancy and blew it.

Safina -vs- Serena coming up. Who ya got?

I think a Serena-Jankovich for Number 1 would be a great final. But for some reason I think Safina wins. Also, am I a bad American if I cheer for Jankovich over Serena in the final if that's what it comes to?

I can't cheer for Serena. I do cheer for Venus. Serena seems to constantly be seeking attention. It bugs me.

the service game prior is the one that killed me.

I wouldn't feel too bad. I rooted for Safina. i'm not a fan of either of the Williams, although they have matured some since joining the pro ranks.
Looks like we are gonna have the matchup between Williams and Jankovich, after all. It should be a good one. Mac is probably right when he says that the tourney is Serena's to win or lose.

Not unpatriotic, just blind.

I might be taking this wrong way, but IMO, it's not even close which is easier on the eyes. Venus might challenge, but not Serena.

As doozer pointed out before, Jankovic might be the best looking worst looking female on the tour.

I do believe that is the first overhead lob that I've ever seen, and Fed pulled it off.

Fed pulled it off. Murray up two breaks against Nadal in the first. Andy is playing some good tennis.

I'm glad to see Murray made the final, I would like to see him win. How do you think he will do against Federer?

I really expect this Jankovich-Williams match to be a doozy. Colts/Bears has nothing on this in my eyes.

2 things...

Jankovich is nervous... Really nervous
She is also clearly the most attractive female on the court. Not saying a lot though.

I agree on both points. Looks like the Jankovich serve is gonna be her downfall in this.
