Fly over at the game vs Kentucky

I grew up in Wichita. Back in the day MAFB flew F16s and B1s.

They did fly overs under the req'd ceiling of 500 feet. You could feel the heat off the afterburners.

They quit flying so low when some killjoy reported them.

The only thing I don't like about my seats is not seeing flyover. However all the students singing the national anthem is great

Yeah, I love my seats, but we never see the flyovers either.

Last year I was fishing the East Walker River, and as I was walking the trail to get to another spot, I got buzzed by an F35 from behind. He was maybe 75 feet off the deck and the guy flew right over my head. It scared the living sh## out of me, and I am certain that the pilot was cracking up. The amazing, thing was that I did not hear a thing until he was right on top of me. Not a sound.

Reminds me of when a pair of Phantoms doing the cold war terrain following bit were running down a lake (long time ago, I'm thinking Loudon) my grandfather and I were fishing when I happened to turn around and spot them just as they were about to pass over us. As you say they were ahead of the sound and just appeared so low I can remember making out out shapes on the bottom of the planes and then all hell broke loose as they flew over. It was super awesome and shocking at the same time.

B-1B for the win! I was the victim of that at the USAFA once.

The Bone going afterburner over a stadium will straight rattle the teeth out of your head.

This. One did an exhibition at an airshow in Chattanooga many years ago. That is by far the loudest aircraft I have ever experienced. I love it.

They want to make your baby a stealth fighter, I'm told. How? Dunno, special coating maybe.

I' ve been out of the Air Force for 40 years but I still miss seeing my baby, the F-15 Eagle going vertical when I was stationed in Germany.

Air Force Vet here as well, I was a 2A351C F-15/A-10 avionics tech. We flew 3-4 sorties a day, and my Barracks when I was an airman were at the take off side of the flight line, I was stationed in Alaska. They would do afterburner takeoff once a day with vertical afterburner take off, it NEVER got old. We'd even get off work and go hang out outside the barracks to watch them take off lol.

I got to watch some Warthogs dropping 500 pounders in the desert a while back. That was nice.

Also go to see some type of fighter fly right passed my 4th story window in Germany when I was a kid. It was silent until after it was gone then it got real loud. I won't forget that either.

The flyover at Neyland was something to remember!
