Thanks for the offer.....I actually had enough points with Choice Privileges so I got a room for free

Cool, that's less than my rate. Of course they don't offer a home cooked breakfast, all the Yuengling you can drink, and most of the Vol Network videos produced. Not to mention the thrill of meeting me. That you can still do if you want to come by, or anyone who is coming. Just pm me.

I'm going for the Nationwide race this year. I went with a friend last year to the Nationwide and Cup races in March.

Congrats on getting a free room. That’s a huge plus for a race weekend. I got absolutely reemed last year and swore I wouldn't pay that much for a room again. I got a better deal this year somewhere else but its still ridiculous what people have to pay.

RB, I'll probably stop by. Depends on when I get up there. I have a mini triathlon on the 19th in SC......so it all depends on how I feel for the drive up

Where is the best place to purchase tickets? I want to push it off until after "Selection Sunday" because if Tennessee or Duke draw a Charlotte regional, I'll be heading to Charlotte.

I can safely say you can get tickets all around the track for less than face value, or at worse buy at the track.

How much do you think a Friday-Saturday-Sunday package will cost per person?

I am not sure you can get package tickets from a scalper, but you should be able to buy a ticket for Saturday & Sunday less than face, Not sure if scalpers bother with Friday ticket since there are so many empty seats. Just buy at the gate, sit where you want. An advantage of buying race day is if it is a rain out - don't buy.

Cool thing about buying them directly from Bristol Motor Speedway is that you have the chance to get the same tickets for next years race. In essence, you become a season ticket holder

That's what we did for the New Hampshire races, every year, before life got in the way.

Back 6 or 7 years ago, when they actually sold out legitimately, it was a good thing to do.

being the first person to have dibs on buying the same seat the following year really isn't anything new. it's the reason we've had the same seat for the Indy 500 for the last 53 years.

It's my first race so I didn't know. I also picked up tix for the August night race.

If you are interested in staying here in August, don't wait too long, I've already booked one room and have another possibility. We always book that race.
