Was our 14-0 start just fools gold making us think we are better than we really are? When you look back at the non conference schedule, yes Illinois was a good win, but none of the other teams we beat were that good. I’m afraid we’re more in line to be a 4th place SEC team and 3 or 4 seed in the tournament rather than a top seed Final Four contender.

This team...all of Rick Barnes teams have the potential to go all the way. Unfortunately it requires a complete team effort. Barnes purscthe players in the opportunity, but it is always up to the players to execute.

5-23 if you back it up one game and include Allan Houston’s 40-101 finale at Rupp versus KY in the SECT. It snowed that night. A lot.

this is still a good basketball team that played an F caliber game on the road against a top 10 team. You’re gonna get blitzed every time. Never over react to one game in college basketball. If we see another game with that kind of horrific offense then we can start to debate but I feel like it’s an anomaly. Still believe this team can bounce back and get a 1 seed. Still a very good basketball team.

I actually mentioned that earlier. That's the game I thought of when trying to remember a performance as bad as tonight, but at least in 93 there was a gigantic talent gap. I also think it snowed the night we beat them a few days earlier didn't it?

If I remember right, TN beat them earlier on a 4 point play where Houston made a FT, then intentionally missed the 2nd. Corey Allen rebounded the miss and got an And-1 to put TN up by 1 with like a second left in the game.

I think everyone here kind of knew in the back of our minds that we weren't the #1 team, but more like a top #5-#10 team.

There are only a few teams that will be able to do what Florida did to us tonight. And they were at home.

But with that said, if we don't get more production from 3 from Igor, and if Mashack/Dubar are unable to contribute offensively, we may not be a top #10 team. We really need those guys to improve as the season progresses. Otherwise, a team that can shut down Lanier and be competitive on the boards will beat us every time.

Me too. But as you said, huge talent gap.

We will be fine. It’s one game. It happens.

Beating Louisville by 20+ on their court looks good. UL beat Clemson tonite (who beat KY, who beat FL heh).
