Footage of Ferguson

That doesn't mean Ferguson is the starter next year, but that certainly seems to back up what Ainge was saying about him. Very interesting.

Whoever the QB ends up being they are going to have numerous weapons to throw the ball to the next several years. North, Malone, Pearson, Croom just to name a few

Sounds to me like ferguson is indeed the go to guy when he's healthy. Dobbs would've never got that start if it wasn't for that now we know for sure.

Was just reading that, myself. Very interesting. Wonder how often recruits are wooed with video of the "backup" QB?

So will Ferguson start over Worley next year?

I hope he really is that good. Worley with a better supporting cast at WR this year would have been a good QB. He took most of the blame but it really hurt him that his best talent at WR was so young and inexperienced.

"They've got a couple of guys pushing to be the main guy," Malone said of Dobbs, Riley Ferguson and Justin Worley. "I've seen lots of film on all the guys and I really feel that they're talented and I'm confident going into that situation."

This is what Malone actually said. That is VQ "insider" sources saying it was the RF film. VQ "sources" have been on the RF bandwagon. Seems like they showed him all the qbs footage and he was sold. They are the same "sources" who said RF was the back up when Dobbs had passed him up.

Pretty sure ferguson would've started over dobbs. Everyone was denying that ferguson had an injury then it was proven.

I was fully supportive of Worley and thought he was growing into the system...But that touch was atrocious at times..it looked better after comparing it to Dobbs' outings but this is truly going to be an OPEN competition...I'm just pulling for the best fit WHOEVER he is...I don't care who :eek:hmy:

The depth chart and Butch Jones said otherwise. DeerPark who actually knows said otherwise. The only ones who said RF was ahead of Dobbs were anonymous "insiders" who only saw drills and not team activities. Malone himself said he checked them all out and liked what he saw. Another VQ anonymous "insider" said it was RF.

So if Ferguson was so good in practice, why didn't he start or even take over in the 2nd half of the Florida game?

All they have are "sources" who have opinions. The actual people who know and are on record and the official depth charts they ignore.

Dobbs is great guy and may end up as starter and I will fully support him as a fan if so. I do believe though that RF has the swag factor with a fire in his belly to win any means necessary. Malone has the talent of Da'Rick but a much better person. Next year will be good..the year after will be great.

apparently sold Josh Malone on the Vols. Read the last paragraph. Interesting.

Five-star Malone makes his pick

:rock::rock::rock:

I found his comments during the interview pretty telling. He was asked why he would pick Tennessee over the other programs who are having success. Malone said, (paraphrase)"The staff has alot of confidence in the QB'S that are on the roster that didn't get to play this year." There is only one qb that didn't.

Everyone's so sold on Ferguson but no one has seen him play. The guy with the strongest arm should start in 2014 and that is Peterman.

Worley didn't help himself either too much by missing the target fairly often. I think IF Ferguson does step up and become a good QB, Worley has progressed enough this season to be a solid back-up. He won't necessarily win big games, but he won't lose them for you either. He got much better at not turning the ball over as the season progressed.

His actual quote word for word. He likes a couple of qbs we have.
