Footage of Ferguson

Everyone's so sold on Ferguson but no one has seen him play. The guy with the strongest arm should start in 2014 and that is Peterman.

All you have to do is look at his record, his film, and his State Championships. He is a WINNER and will win big at Tennessee.

"They've got a couple of guys pushing to be the main guy," Malone said of Dobbs, Riley Ferguson and Justin Worley. "I've seen lots of film on all the guys and I really feel that they're talented and I'm confident going into that situation."

This is what Malone actually said. That is VQ "insider" sources saying it was the RF film. VQ "sources" have been on the RF bandwagon. Seems like they showed him all the qbs footage and he was sold. They are the same "sources" who said RF was the back up when Dobbs had passed him up.

Damn, you're on Dobbs sack like ants on sugar...surprised you have time to type or at least a free hand...

The depth chart and Butch Jones said otherwise. DeerPark who actually knows said otherwise. The only ones who said RF was ahead of Dobbs were anonymous "insiders" who only saw drills and not team activities. Malone himself said he checked them all out and liked what he saw. Another VQ anonymous "insider" said it was RF.
Fwiw, Dobbs didnt travel to UF. Tells me all I need to know about the depth chart at that time.

So we can get it to the defensive backs quicker? :ermm:

I'm just putting the facts. The Rf guys are the ones on some ones sack. They are ignoring what the coaches and the player say but take what a "source" says as gospel. The op couldn't wait to take an anonymous quote and start a thread about RF being the reason Malone chose us. Malone himself said it was all the qbs.

Ferguson's legend continues to grow. Lol.

He' so bad to the bone that he doesn't even have game footage and the Number 2 receiver in all of the land is clamoring to catch passes from him.

All i want to see is that he's a fierce competitor who hates to lose. We've lacked that for a long time at the most important position on the field.

His actual quote word for word. He likes a couple of qbs we have.

That's not the quote I was talking about. He did mention Dobbs but it sounded like he was talking about Ferguson, imo.

I was watching sportscenter and Urban Meyer said that the first thing he looks for in a quarterback is a competitive nature. The second thing he looks for is toughness. I'm on board with that. Sometimes the most talented players aren't the ones that win games. Look at Casey Clausen.

Worley didn't help himself either too much by missing the target fairly often.
Agree but part of that was a function of receivers either not being where they were supposed to be or else him not trusting them to be. He got significantly better as he began to know who he could trust and when.

I think IF Ferguson does step up and become a good QB, Worley has progressed enough this season to be a solid back-up. He won't necessarily win big games, but he won't lose them for you either. He got much better at not turning the ball over as the season progressed.

If the coaching and development improves, I honestly think all 4 guys have talent. They have to have quality players around them and they have to be coached up.

Not the case. Where do people get their info?

In warmups, Peterman appeared to have the weaker arm of them all. Worley with the strongest. Dobbs puts too much damn air under the ball. Reminds me of Scotty Hopsons 3 pointer.

However, Fergurson's arm does look very strong for a Freshman. I just hope he doesn't turn out like another highly recruited NC QB I remember.

so why is it that Ferg was the one with his helmet on warming up on the side line when Worley hurt his hand during the SC game? Dobbs was standing there holding his helmet while Ferg was warming up....what does that tell you?

I don't care who starts. Dobbs was thrown in a tough situation and had his moments. I support whoever is playing winning football. God help RF of he starts and throws a couple of picks. He will get murdered and thrown to the side like a sack of sh*t on this board. If RF is the guy...so be it!

You've seen an awful half of Peterman, so that doesn't count.

Ferguson has the strongest arm.

I don't know who has the strongest arm... and suspect no one else here does either.

The only guy we know anything about in that regard is Worley. Last year the Juggs gun recorded him over 50 mph... which is comparable to NFL QB's.

This whole argument is pretty meaningless too. Delivering the ball on time, on target, and to the right guy is far more important than being able to throw it through the side of a barn... assuming you can hit it.

If Dobbs had done the first things I mentioned better... he had plenty of arm.

Heath Shuler and Jimmy Streater were also from NC.

Some folks cracked me up. They deny the facts.

Obviously we don't know for sure how Riley Ferguson will play once he's in a game. But the reports out of camp and early in the season had him in front of Dobbs. He was warming up to go into the SC game and got hurt when Dobbs went in.

He has a cannon...ball leaves in a hurry and gets there in a hurry and he has some wheels...

On a side note...I was re watching Jabo Lees highlights from 2011 and really wish he would have had his stuff in order to get in...he could've been a good one...

And you can see that in Tebow and B. Miller. Both guys with moxy. Clausen is a good example too... Iceman!

Bray could throw the ball through both sides of the barn but struggled to make the right decisions. Like stated above.... May the best man win and GBO

I found his comments during the interview pretty telling. He was asked why he would pick Tennessee over the other programs who are having success. Malone said, (paraphrase)"The staff has alot of confidence in the QB'S that are on the roster that didn't get to play this year." There is only one qb that didn't.

This.
