Football isn’t happening...

Imma let you slide because I’m not equipped to debate an attorney. Lol. You win.

Well, I really don’t want to be argumentative. Not here to “pick a side” as our society has seemingly created. Just that assumption of risk can not always be used.

You can’t build a lethal roller coaster and then ask people to assume the risk. Anyway, there is just more to it sometimes.

Lol. Not exactly. I’m an attorney. It’s not that simple. There is also a good will factor. Organizations aren’t going to promote a function that they know is a high probability for spread.

Also, even if you win lawsuits, it costs money. You open yourself up to a whole bunch of potential issues.
But couldn’t the Supreme Court acknowledge the possibility and throw out any cases against said organizations related to Covid? Seems like that could happen and cut the snake off at the head.

I’m just here to pick your brain at this point.

I never said the death rate is 100% all I said was that if we allow this disease to spread like wildfire through college football, eventually people in college football are going to get sick and die. It's just a statistical outcome. Covid-19 causes blood clotting in the lungs. And I read one case of a woman in her twenties who had to have a double lung transplant because the virus irreparably damaged her lungs. It's going to effect different people differently. Dying COVID-19 patient undergoes double lung transplant, believed first of its kind
Ok, that is an interesting article. My question is this; is the fact that she has SAHRS-COVID-2 in her system the actual reason she needs the double lung transplant, or was she already headed down the path to needing major respiratory assistance and just happens to have the virus in her system? Both cases are considered the fault of the virus by the network you so graciously posted an article from. I classify CNN in the same category as the National Enquirer, and that is based on a situation where I know for a fact that a situation was reported completely falsely by them:

In 2000, Vienna elected a Neo-Nazi to its Parliament. The was uproar around the world. CNN reported violent protests and riots going on around the Parliament building. It just so happens, several members of a training class that took place in the Czech Republic had decided to go to Vienna that weekend. We were walking all around the city for several hours, including said Parliament building. We had no idea that anything was going on until one of my friends received a frantic call from his wife as we were getting ready to wander the city for a second day. We were amazed at the fact that CNN was basically reporting Vienna was in flames.

BTW....the violent rioting crowds.....They were revelers celebrating Vienna's version of Mardi Gras, Carnival! The violently running protesters.....an outdoor skating rink!

Any who believe anything CNN reports are more foolish than they realize.

Funny you bring that up because I’ve always told my kids and others to believe ALL of what you see....

How many black dots do you see?

Just kind of screwed up to expect people to risk their lives for your entertainment 🤷‍♂️
You tell me where these kids are saying they don’t want to play and are having a proverbial gun to their head forcing them to? You would have a to be a special kind of stupid right now to force a kid to play and threaten his scholarship if he didn’t in today’s environment where players are getting more and more power each day, especially if the player or players were African American. I’m saying give them the option and let them weigh the consequences. They weigh the consequences every time they put the pads on anyways.

Because the cancellation of football this fall will have no other effects such as further hits to restaurants, hotels, motels, etc. not to mention all the non-revenue sports that are totally dependent of football revenue.

It's a simple black and white issue with no additional repercussions.

23 Clemson football players test positive for coronavirus - CNN

With breakouts like this and what’s already happening with MLB, I’d say it’s a done deal.
You do understand that most or all of those cases are asymptomatic, right? You understand that a Coronavirus Common Cold is worse than asymptomatic Covid-19, right?

If football truly doesn't happen because the safest people within the safest group of people have asymptomatic cases... then we have TRULY let idiots control things.

It's only a matter of time before a player or coach with pre-existing conditions gets seriously ill or dies. I can think of at least one player and a number of coaches on our team who are especially vulnerable to this disease.
OK. Tell me how you "know" this.

I say that because CDC has actually avoided telling us what specific conditions create the greatest risks from Covid-19. I'm not talking about glancing mentions of obesity... I am talking about details that enable doctors and individuals to protect themselves and others. We KNOW that the average Covid-19 fatality has 2.5 OTHER comorbidities. IOW's, they have 2 or 3 things that could kill them along with Covid-19.

Do you "know" that any coach or player falls in that category? Do you know of any who have 2 or 3 dangerously unmanaged health conditions?

Lets be realistic. The fearmongers rule all this. If season starts & 1 person test positive then their gonna quarantine god knows how many for nothing. We will be playing with half teams all season. My brother in law has covid. I tested positive. Guess what we’re freakin fine. This covid bs is so overblown i wish faucci would choke on his own facemask but doubt he even wears them

Korean Pro Baseball playing every night with no problems.
stats

You realize they have been playing with no fans. At least the last time I saw a game a couple weeks ago. They did have cheerleaders in the stands but they were practicing social distancing.

Let me vent some more. I tested positive for covid. You know what i did today? I weed eated my yard. Killed weeds in garden, washed my car then cut grass. I’m livin my life to fullest because this is not a real pandemic. Last #’s i saw was less than 500k killed worldwide. We need to grow some balls & move on

You have to be very careful with numbers...it's not just linear
1) there were 30k new cases yesterday but also it was the highest testing day 580k so 95% were negative Tennessee alone did nearly 16k
2) Some states are counting antibody and perviously diagnosed positive tests as new cases Texas is one of them
You can use statistics to fit into any narrative

This virus poses virtually no threat to people under 60. We know this. We have all the information to back this up. Yet, we still have people that don’t get it. Wild. Simply wild.

Protect the vulnerable.

Open. Everything. Else. Up. Now.

This is so obvious it hurts.
Actually know 2 people that (have had) the virus.
1 is in the hospital. The other may have it for a second time under another 14 day quarantine until test comes back.
He said that it’s the worst he has ever felt and aches worse than any flu he has ever had.
