The writer is actually 100% correct even though most kids here on VN don't want to admit it.
America has become a " I want it all NOW" country and that doesn't work.
It doesn't work in life because if you have the credit to buy it all now the compounding interest against you HAS given America the highest Bankruptcy numbers over the last 15 years than we've ever seen.
It's given us the highest mortgage loan disaster in American history.
It doesn't work in business.
It doesn't work in college football UNLESS a new coach is lucky enough to take over a team that already had 4 full classes of top ranked players all over their roster like nick saTan walked into at bama and like a few other lucky coaches have walked into over the years.
Totally rebuilding a college football program from 1 of the worst in the country back to 1 of the best in the SEC simply DOES take time and you try to do it 1 recruiting class and 1 season at a time and somewhere along the way you try your best to take a team of players with alot less talent and depth and upset a big program to create a huge PR buzz in order to get serious attention from top recruits and have more ammunition to throw at the biggest recruits.
If you expect a top 5 recruiting class or a great winning season quick then you aren't being realistic and really don't know aquat about how college football works.
I find it sad that normally the same negative minded, want it all now people that are on here constantly whining and crying about everything with loads of negative posts are the same people that ARE hurting our recruiting efforts and then try to say that in this computer age we don't have recruits and parents coming on here to try and learn as much as they can about Tennessee just to try and justify their constant negative rants.
All my life I've had things I wanted right then but reality and intelligence said I needed to take a few years and save up the money and stay out of debt and buy things when I had the cash and really could afford to buy them without putting myself and my family at financial risk.
CBJ and his staff are good coaches and he WILL be here for 4 or 5 years because I don't see anymore buyouts coming for a long time so be a good fan and just support the program and enjoy watching our Vols get rebuilt year by year and I believe in 4 ot 5 years we'll all be very happy with where we're at no matter how much all of us really want it all right now.
VFL...GBO!!!
