Here is what Tennessee would need:

2 vs 3- Ohio State vs Michigan needs to be a margin like Tennessee vs Georgia / MICHIGAN DELIVERS 22 POINT BEATDOWN

4 - TCU losing to a 4-7 Iowa State would send them in a free fall in the rankings. Losing to Kansas State 9-3 or Texas 8-4 should also send them towards bottom of top 10. TCU has been on a high risk, low reward run these last few weeks where a win doesn't do much for them, but a loss essentially ends their playoff hopes

5 - LSU loss vs A&M or UGA / THE FIGHTING JIMBO'S TAKE DOWN THE BAYOU BENGALS

6 - USC loss in PAC12 title game

7 - Bama not really important.

8 - Clemson loss vs one of the Carolina's... Either team would drop them a bit in rankings with UNC's loss last night / FIRST DOMINO TO FALL

9 - Oregon loss vs Oregon State / DOWN GOES DUCKY TO THE BEAVE

10 - Tennessee goes nuclear with Joe Joe Milton throwing 7 sixty yard TD's to Squirrel and Merrill today

It’s rivalry weekend, crazy things happen this weekend.

It would be funny to see alot of the top 10 lose except us and the committee has to figure out what to do lol

If I had my way, I'd want to see Michigan, TCU, USC, and Oregon lose today.....

Then have LSU and Clemson losses next week in conference title games....

From there you'd have UGA and Big Ten Champ with 11-1 Michigan, 10-2 Bama, and 10-2 Tennessee there

That would be 5 teams, right?

1. UGA
2. Ohio
3. 11-1 Michigan
4. 10-2 Bama &
5. 10-2 Tennessee

11-1 TCU may also get in at #4 in that scenario, especially if they rebound and win the Big XII.

I also wouldn't trust the Committee to put us in over Bama despite the head to head. The South Carolina loss is a huge turd in our resume punch bowl.

If TCU loses today vs a 4-7 Iowa State, they would drop out of the top ten. There is no way they could lose today and stay in the top ten. Even with a 12-1 record and Big 12 title, they would have maybe the worst loss of any team in the top 5 this year, yes trumping ours vs USC.

#4 losing to a 4-7 team would warrant a drop to 10-15 range.

TCU is out with a loss regardless. A conference title isn’t enough to keep them in the convo at 12-1. They have zero quality opponents on their schedule this year. All 3 and 4 loss teams at best.

As for 11-1 Michigan, it would be interesting to see if they lost by double digits and if they dropped below a Bama and Tennessee coming off blowout wins.

Zero chance of three SEC teams in the playoffs, no matter who above us loses this and next week.

It’s amazing the mental gymnastics you just did to come to conclusion that teams losing ahead of us comes out to 3 SEC teams in the playoff

Bama would get in over Tennessee in that scenario. Bama’s losses have been away and by a few points to top ten teams. Tennessee lost to Carolina. The head to head isn’t going to save them in that scenario.

5 - LSU loss vs UGA. Sure they can lose to A&M today, but the loss vs UGA is more likely.

6 - USC loss vs ND or PAC12 title game

7 - Bama not really important.

8 - Loss vs one of the Carolina's... Either team would drop them a bit in rankings with UNC's loss last night

9 - Oregon losing vs Oregon State would be a plus, but ideally they face a 10-2 USC (loss vs ND) and then USC beats them in PAC 12 title game

10 - Tennessee goes nuclear with Joe Joe Milton throwing 7 sixty yard TD's to Squirrel and Merrill today
Read this yesterday. It's interesting. I have no hopes of making the playoffs but some of this will happen and it was fun for me to read it and try to figure out where we might end up (ranked in the final polls) if we take care our own business.

Woulda been much simpler to just beat SC. Im focusing on just Bama and LSU losses so we're the #2 SEC bowl pick. Keep it simple.
