For or against Penn State?

I think they are trying to make the best out of a bad situation. Hope they do well.

I love College football, it's sad to see any storied program fall like that.

For. The players and coaches had nothing to do with this, and as much as people like to slam the fans neither did they. It's going to be a very hard decade for them, so it would be great if this was an uplifting kind of season.

Could care less. I'm not a Penn State fan. But I wouldn't root against them just because an assistant coach who retired in 1999 was molesting children. No one connected with the 2012 Penn State football team had anything to do with that.

Against. The fans around here still don't think Joe or anyone on that staff did anything wrong.

Where in pa are you from? The reason people in pa are defending him is because he is taking all of this and Sandusky while yes he is on prison, the NCAA and media made it a personal mission to destroy Joe Pa

Williamsport area, right down the road from State College.

People in PA are defending him because they have to. Paterno, despite his mishaps, was that university.

You mean reporting the truth that Joe Pa knew Sandusky was a pedophile, lied to the grand jury when he said he knew nothing about the investigation and the report from 2001 about the kid showering with Sandusky and then told the president of the university to keep it quiet?

YEah, they have those emails that prove he knew.

Joe Pa knew. He knew and he did NOTHING, anyone who says otherwise is either brain dead or delusional.

Correct. I mostly view the team the same way I did before all this, though I'm somewhat sympathetic because the NCAA ginned up sanctions as a PR scapegoat.

I've been saying that the whole time the NCAA came out and did all these just to make the media and public happy
