Hearing the Florida OC will be the new Southern Miss head coach. Great timing for the recruiting. How bout it gator boys.....is it true?

UF flipped the #2 WR in the country from Houston.

We also lost a DT recruit to FSU.

Outside of Cleveland, which is a nice pickup, UF didn't close as strong as many expected.

Still a solid class...a dozen EEs to work with between now and August, including the future at QB.

They finished lower than they were trending earlier. I almost wonder if having a less successful but steadier season would have helped them more than the big flop after all those wins.

We shall see.

I love Butch but he has lost to two consecutive Florida teams in years where he had more talent.

This will mark the first year where our avg ranking exceeds theirs. Amazingly enough they still had a top 10 ranking avg last year. 90% of that may have been defense but it was enough to win the east. It does not surprise me they have beaten us for a decade because they were beating us on NSD. The worm is turning and we'll get to see if it makes a difference. I believe it will.

Gators did well at the skill positions this year. On the LOS.....not so much IMO. They didn't exactly load up there last year either aside from a couple of players.

"A strong FSU and Miami has no bearing on our recruiting"

said every gator fan

FSU - 2

UF - 16

Miami - 18

FSU signed 25 players today. 11 were from the state of Florida.

I think everyone would agree FSU has been the dominant team in the state since 2010.

Last season, Florida won 10 and played for a conference title.

FSU can't keep Florida from being good and vice versa. S. Manuel aside, FSU was not really a thorn in Florida's side this recruiting cycle

Playing against and losing to a good FSU team does impact your total capabilities in recruiting and in Championship pursuit. You presently stack up in recruitimg more closely with Miami than FSU. Yes you could all be "good" but the better your peers get the harder the challenge.

2009 - You didn't blow us out Gator! Moral Victory!!!
2010 - If that fake punt didn't work...
2011 - If Justin Hunter doesn't injure his knee...
2012 - If Sunseri wasn't our DC...
2013 - If Worley started instead of Peterman...
2014 - If Dobbs started instead of Worley...

2015 - Take your pick.
If Butch goes for two...
If Butch had blitzed on 4th and 14...
If Grier wasn't hopped up on cocaine, bath salts and Dianabol...
If, in spite of all that other nonsense, Medley makes the freaking FG...

Hold up. That too?
