For The Love of God…

This game is simply about one team having far better athletes, far better coaching and far more resources than the other team. And I agree with the above sentiments, when the playoffs move to twelve teams the SEC, including Tennessee, will dominate more than they already have up to this point.

Exactly. This is what happens when you have a bunch of 3 stars (TCU) going up against a bunch of 4 and 5 stars (Georgia). Teams like TCU can pull a game or so out against teams with superior talent, but it always eventually catches up with them. Look it up. Since 1998, no team has won a natty without at least 2 top ten classes out of 4. Things have changed a little perhaps with the portal, but not that much.

I rarely post and read often, but this game is in no way a surprise to anyone with minimal football acumen. To those who are shocked, they either do not understand football or are willfully ignorant about TCU. Regardless of what the tv ‘mouth’ says, TCU did not deserve to be there.. frankly if we are talking about the top 4 teams in the country, then I think the committee only got 1 out of 4 correct.

Tennessee beat Bama that beat the brakes off of Kansas State who beat TCU.
I understand all that, but I'm saying was OSU was a FG away from being there instead of Georgia. Anything can happen in any given game....

Except for this game.

Nah.

UGA and OSU are actually evenly matched in talent. What you saw was two very talented teams playing to their potential.

Michigan is about UT level of talent but playing in the conference where they are the second most talented team by a significant margin and play a one game season.

The point of this thread was "Can we stop obsessing the big 10 and 12", the Big 12 almost made it instead of the SEC. They didn't and the SEC made it but it wasn't easy.
