For those saying Vanderbilt has comparable talent

The senior class (2010) did have severe attrition, but do you not consider the junior class (2011) as having severe attrition?

The 2011 class had zero (0) five star recruits and twelve (12) four star recruits according to Rivals. Four aren't here anymore (Arnett, Clear, Lanier, and Martin). Curt Maggitt was unavailable all year due to injury, and Mo Couch was suspended/kicked off the team.

So essentially, we lost half of our four stars from the junior class. I'd call that severe.

Considering we lost a total of 10 players from the 2010 class compared to what is essentially 5 guys (not including Maggit) from 2011. Unfortunately for us only losing 5 is a success.

Not only that, but the 2012 class has some pretty serious attrition as well. Bonner, Bourque, Patterson and Phillips are all 4*s who are gone now.

Their average rivals recruiting ranking is 45 from 2010-2013. In that same span our average ranking is 15.

Even the last two recruiting classes that Franklin was in charge of their average ranking was 24 compared to our 19 with a lame duck Dooley and Jones trying to salvage 2013.

Vanderbt just looks good because they have taken advantage of teams with losing records and beat up teams (UF and UGA).

We have the talent advantage and the coaching advantage IMO and I expect a fired up senior class to make their mark by beating up on the little sister school.

I bet their seniors were working out, when they were freshmen.

The problem is that the players of Vandy have come out more fired up and out played us the last few years. I think our players still think a lot like some fans when it comes to Vandy, easy win. Not anymore, at least not right now. They have out played us and they have out coached us. You ever wonder how many times Franklin has shown that video of Dooley in the locker room? My bet is more than 10.

Lets see what happens this year.

According to Phil Steele the most accurate preseason magazine. Vandy has 9 highly regarded HS players while TN I think he said has 35. Vandy may have 3-4 4 star players TN has many many more. Franklin does more with less. The kind of coach TN needs.

Don't think that's accurate.

Readjust those recruiting rankings and take a look at who we've lost, versus who is still here.

Dumb post. Your logic says we have better talent but we lost to UGA and FL.
