For those suggesting throwing NIL money at players

The OP's argument:

"My cousin inherited $500,000, didn't do any research and overspent it all on a really nice doublewide. Now, he's broke and living in a doublewide. So, obviously having an extra $500,000 is useless!"

How about those that invested it, compounded the interest, and grew something better than they'd have had otherwise?

"My brother's wife cheated on him, so all women are untrustworthy."

How about all the wonderful women out there?

Peter Griffin: "I'll never own a Toyota. My neighbor once bought a Toyota, and Bam! He got herpes."

(OK, I just wanted to throw that one in.)

You can't just take a limited sample, edge case, or mistake and attribute that as a rule.

If they do, our game against them doesn’t look good

People are bad to discount anyone we beat last season or anyone who wasn’t great last season. It’s an interesting thing. I imagine all fan bases do it, but it’s still odd. The number of people who think there’s no way we lose to Kentucky, Texas A&M, etc

And to be clear, I’m not saying it will happen. But both are for sure possible.

ATM scares me a whole lot more than UK just based on the amount of raw talent they posses

I believe teams with quality players and a great culture will beat teams with star players and a cancerous culture. Signing players based solely on athletic talent and not character is a huge mistake IMO.

Not all players need to be honor students or choir boys, either. We need some that are going to be majoring in the NFL, not aerospace engineering (Josh Dobbs an exception). That doesn't mean be complete morons or thugs, but can't excel in every aspect of life.

If you don’t have the players best long term interests at heart you won’t be around long.
