Former Vol plans to open burger restaurant on the Strip | wbir.com

(WBIR, Knoxville) A former Vol and NFL player plans to open a burger restaurant near UT's campus.

Albert Haynesworth will open a franchise of the chain BurgerFi on Cumberland Avenue, according to the company's corporate headquarters.

BurgerFi makes burgers and hot dogs using all natural meat.

The company expects the restaurant to open sometime in the fall.

Haynesworth played for the Vols in the '90s and in the NFL for about a decade.
