And once again, something good going on for a former player.. and our so called "fans" go into attack mode.

It is a wonder to me how we can get anyone to come to this school when it does not matter how long of a career you have, The people that are supposedly in your corner for LIFE, sit there and make fun of you every chance they get instead.

I am very sad that I am associated with some of you, even if it is by a very small amount.

Ditto. It's going to cost us all down the road if it continues. Have said so before. Butch or no Butch, word is going to get out the the UT is no place to be.
We talk about Bama's shortcomings with ours being as bad or worse. It will not escape notice and it will cost us in terms of top tier players. Just watch.

Some critical comments and opinions are justified. Some of the clowns that have shown up in K-town deserve all the negative remarks they get. We have had quite a tring of all time great, legandary flawless players, good solid players who gave 100% all the time, over rated players who did nothing and could care less, and street thugs who should have gone to jail instead of school.

Albert is a good case study. I helieve while here he was truely liked and respected. Played great and deserved the accolades. When he got to the pros and became the face stompin' idiot who totally quit on his team (Redskins) after signing a $100M dollar conbtract; well he earned those critical comments as well.

We all go through life phases that wax and wane. I've both seen and been a supreme jackass that if I met the SOB today, I'd lay a crowbar upside his/my head. Then changed, not became perfect, but changed for the better. For some of us, it takes longer and more than one knock upside the head. Some others will always be jackasses because that's what they want to be.

Haynesworth didn't want to be a NT. He believed he should play a position as a penetrator. Regardless, when you work for a boss, you do what the company hires you to do. If you're a pilot and hired to drive a tractor, you drive the dayum tractor. But that was then, this is now. The question is, how does he behave now as opposed to then? If he's still a jackass, brand his rectum with a double J branding iron. Otherwise, stop acting holier than thou. I think the worse kind of person is one who insists on holding a grudge, being incapable of forgiving, ignores efforts to do what's right by whoever offended you before. We all go through life phases that wax and wane.

One of my best friends is a big Bama fan & booster. He comments frequently about how Vol fans make fun of Bama fans but he always ends with the same comment:

We (Bama fans) may not have many teeth but we are united unlike cut-throat Vol fans who constantly backstab and ***** & moan.

As much as I would like to disagree, based on the posts on most Vol fan sites, I feel he has a reasonable argument.

It's not like Haynesworth is anywhere near as bad as Erik Ainge, yet some of you guys treat him like a god while A;bert gets the Bronx cheer... I don't get it.

Hahahahaha!

If I had a dollar for everytime someone argued for Riley Ferguson using something Erik Ainge said I'd be a millionaire.

Some of us know how to stop hating. I resent his past behavior. I try to also see if he has done anything to correct that behavior, set things right, or tried to become a better person. It's the jackasses who insist on being jackasses I'd turn my back on. Not those who realize they're jackasses and seek to become decent humans. But some people either won't let you or don't want you to make that change. they just need to look down their holier than thou noses so they have someone to hate on.

Yes, we are so much meaner to each other than the classier Bama fans ...

Well, I wish Haynesworth well with his establishment. And hope he can take the jokes directed his way, because he will never live them down.

This is a single incident, the poster is talking about repetitive and a historical intra-fancide and player loathing found among Vols.

Your post is correct. My post was to simply state the vast majority of Bama fans are on the same side of the fence basically united unlike Vol fans. It seems Vol fans would much rather argue, belittle, live in the past, and bit*h & moan based on most postings.

Yeah, watch out, we could have 4 straight losing seasons if we're not ... oh wait, nevermind.

Because if we just focus on football then we will all want to jump off the nearest bridge.

You mean how WVLT tries to make the story about his past and not about his franchise? That part?
Pretty much the lack of skill by the interviewer. I mean, are there any real questions in that article?

Worthless puff piece
