Curious as to where it will move in. I'm not sure that anything would actually succeed at Sam & Andy's/McAlister's.

I'm sure Albert's place will be one of the best burger joints in the country. It will make an absurd amount of money, and then it will disappear and you will never hear from it again.

Shut your mouth....you're not allowed to talk about any VFL ever, not even jokingly.

He better hire a good manager and staff or it will fail. Over 75% of all restaurants that start up, fail in the first 3 years. Based on Haynesworth's demonstrated financial decisions he made while with the Redskins, it doesn't sound like a real good idea frankly. Unless he is spending someone else's money.

It's chances for success will be totally dependent upon the honesty and ability of the people working for him. Add in he better know how to watch the cash drawer. I don't give it good odds, but wish him well.

I understand your trying to be funny, but thats no way to treat a VFL... We should wish him nothing but success, especially since he's bringing the money he's made throughout his career and bringing it back home to Knoxville!!!!

Yea certainly wouldn't want to speak a truth, that might offend a lazy selfish pro ball player because he was a VOL.

Natural meats only?? Does that imply there are some unnatural meats floating around out there we need to know about?

Well, there's soy meats. You probably saw them in the store freezers as brands Morning Star and Boca. They taste OK but you'd never mistake them for real meat.

Actually, all meat is natural as the animals are "natural" citizens of the animal kingdom. The problem is what you do with the meat after it's removed from said animal. A well-known store in Texas back in the late 1990's was soaking fish in bleach during late night hours to make it keeps its fresh white coloring. Recently, in Europe and certain American cities, beef with horse meat, but it's still "natural." However, more and more meat products are mixed with soy protein these days. So maybe Big Al is onto something. Me? I prefer burgers made of bison or elk meat. I prefer my steaks be elk or Texas antelope which is actually a Nilgai and native of India but transplanted in Texas.
All other cuts I prefer my local KY farmers who have a butcher and meat outlet within 10 and 30 minutes of my home. Grilled or smoked with hickory wood chunks.
Now, that's natural, sorry big Al.

Haynesworth opening a burger joint? I imagine the burgers will cost alot and have alot of potential, but will give up on its way to your table.

If you don't like what you get when you order it, you get a cleat to the face from the server.

(Too soon?) :)

In all seriousness, I hope this restaurant has success. It'll be nice to have a restaurant on the strip owned by a former Vol.

Cookout > All other burger places on the strip right now. Hope burgerfi is ready to have low prices and good food with late hours. Wonder where on the strip it'll be? I hope it does well though, would be great to have a former Vol have a successful venture on the Strip.

I think it is awesome that Big Al wants to open up a business here in Knoxville. I hope it does well and I will for sure go by and get a burger when it opens!

Had lunch at BurgerFi yesterday in Winter Park... Place is legit.
Should be very popular on the strip.

the owner doesn't really matter as it's a franchise. I am telling you these new craft burger places are legit.

However, they are usually expensive in my area.

Wondering if college kids may be priced out.

Also, college kids typically don't appreciate a craft beer.

I know an older woman who used to work at Waffle House in Knoxville. She said one evening Albert came in with some friends. His tab was $19.63, he gave the woman a $20 and told her to keep the change. This is a true story.
