Nah, Keep Matchett. He occasionally give insight. This past year Varsha constantly messed up names and just made a bunch of simple errors. Along with being way too opinionated for a play by play guy.

But at least we know varsha doesn't give a ****, matchett reminds me of that ass hole that has to make sure everyone hears what he has to say regardless of whether not anyone cares

I don't think I can ever describe it as perfectly as this.

That said, I'm fine with the boot lineup.

I hate how they have pushed back the start time of the Aus GP a few hours so it hits a better eu time slot. Used to fall on 11pm or so in the US. It was very nice.

I wasn't aware it changed. All the listings I've seen say the coverage starts at 11pm. Maybe I missed something.

Yep. Although, for some courses like Monaco and Spa, I'll get up early.

True. But I think for this weekend, I will probably just DVR it.

I will usually wake for 8am race. But races like Japan and Korea, it's not worth crushing my sleep schedule. I did that back when I was a kid and didn't have a DVR.

Not a true fan :)

:eek:hmy:

Most of those years the Ferrari was an all conquering beast. 2004, 2001-2002 especially.

Back then, McLaren was faster. And back then, it was only Ferrari and McLaren with Williams for a minute.

Even presently, McLaren has been consistently faster than Ferrari. McLaren just always seems to have some reliability issue.

Not trying to sound like a fanboy but Schumacher was the equalizer.

I can agree that there were times where McLaren was quick. But I can't agree with you on a lot of those Schumacher championship years.

You may be right, but I just remember thinking that if Michael was driving in the McLaren, no one catches him. That is if the car lasted. :)

Defozzi fanboy. Mika Hakkinen would disagree with that statement.

why do you think he left after winning two championships? And it wasn't because Couthard was great

My favorite Coulthard moment.

Mainly it has to do with Walker going nuts.

Too bad Lewis kinda copied this in china 07.:cray:

David was an ass, but that's beside the point. I couldn't tell you why he (Mika) left, but I am of the opinion he got those two championships with a better car.

I'm not saying Mika was a bad driver, he was a good driver. He was able to get away and win races because he had a faster car.

It's basically how I feel about Sebastian Vettel today.

I like Mika. He took his knocks. He had to put up with some of the worst McLaren's of all time. The dreaded Peugeot powered MP4-9.

In 1998-1999, the McLaren was the class of the field. But in the same way the Ferrari was the class of the field in the 2000's. Schumacher would just start the race and drive off into the distance. You cannot win over 90 races in a career with out a lot of those drives being in a dominant car.
