Absolutely..You seem to be one of a few who care about and follow F1..You know you're one of my buds..And I tell ya' NV it's gonna be real interesting for American F1 fans for the next few years, especially once the Haas growing pains are over....

Thanks buddy.

I'm very excited about the team.

I just hope he has the patience but if his record in Sprint Cup is any indication he does.

Grosjean and Gutierrez might get a chance to drive a Sprint Cup car for Gene Haas..That might be interesting to say the least..A Frenchman and Mexican in Sprint Cup..Wow.....

Grosjean, Gutierrez have discussed NASCAR try-out with Gene Haas – MotorSportsTalk

Also, Grosjean named as the first recipient of the new F1 "Driver of the Day" award...

If they are talking about a races I'm not sure that is possible. SHR has no available seats for the next few years after signing Bowyer to replace Tony. Though perhaps they were simply talking about testing/seat swaps.

Haas looking strong in practice and qualifying. Hoping to see them score double points tomorrow.

Grosjean proving he is Top 10 driver (contrary to what the F1 experts believe) and if the gremlins would leave Esteban alone Haas could be dual car point threats every race..Happy to see this early success....

Seems that he's in the right situation. What I mean by that is there doesn't seem too much pressure to win but to just be competitive. Couple that with the positivity and confidence they have in the Haas camp, Grosjean's attitude seems to be highly appreciative and high spirited. Granted, I'm just judging from the past two races in the short after race radio exchanges. Personally, I've thought Grosjean to be wreckless but he's proving me wrong so far. It's good for F1 that he perform well at Haas.

I mentioned it in my podcast. Its towards the 2/3 point.

BTW, I really enjoyed this Nerd. Wished I knew about them sooner but now that I do, you can add one more listener to the list. Keep up the good work!

Grow-John turned a corner after being banned for a race a few years ago. The mind immediately goes to Jody Scheckter. https://www.formula1.com/content/fo...ship/drivers/hall-of-fame/Jody_Scheckter.html

I've thought a lot of him for a while.

I'm so glad you enjoyed the show. The next one will be delayed as I'm in the process of moving.

I like the Scheckter comparison, thanks for posting the link. Just goes to show how some focus and determination can change a person's life. I'm still not sold on Grosjean but I do believe he's got the right environment around him at Haas.

As for the podcast, moving is a lame excuse. Get it done son. :)

The thing with Romain is, he seems to have the speed and he brings the car home these days. I have him tapped to score a surprise podium. Likely could happen at Monaco or Hungary.

He's definitely always been a capable driver. While I don't share the same sentiment about a podium finish, a lot can happen in a race and the season is young.

Lots of storylines developing for this season. I'm excited to see how it all plays out.

Side note: The fact that Alonso was watching the race last weekend from the pit area and not the hospital is pretty amazing IMO.

Daniil Kvyat...smh. Reckless and stupid. Putting the field in danger with stupid stuff like that is inexcusable. Other than that, I felt it wasn't a bad race. Hass once again picking up points and good on Alonso with a top 10 showing.

This season has been really strange as a Hamilton fan. I'm not upset, but it doesn't really feel like the season has begun.

I dunno, maybe now that he has 3 titles under his belt I'm more relaxed.

Lewis Hamilton & Rosberg topped FP1 speed charts. The Haas came in at 12th (Grosjean) & 14th (Gutierrez). Vettel is the first Ferrari at P3. In FP2 Daniel Ricciardo went to the top the charts with the Mercedes guys 2nd & 3rd.
