Foster suspension gets ripped on Rome

Rome is a smuck.

And dont believe that just because a police officer writes something in a report means that it is gospel. Most officers "stack charges".

I don't get what the big deal is about all of this. 3 guys screwed up . . . The facts were evaluated and appropriate punishment was doled out according to the facts. What do people want? Public hangings?

  Two Fulmer claps on that one!

Don't we have a game this weekend?

Focus people.

I think Rome is funny . . . just understand that 90% of the time he's just being a smartass and the facts are secondary to the entertainment value.

Even though I hate Rome, he does have a point.
Wasn't Morley just given a 1/2 game suspension for skipping class? It seems to me that breaking the law and getting arrested warrants a little more than the punishment of skipping classes.

I know I don't know all the details but thats how it appears to me.

Jim Rome is amazing. He's the only person I've ever heard with a three-hour radio show who fills up less than 30 minutes of available airspace. Taking 20 seconds between sentences is the most effective way to do that, and he sure does it.

What cracks me up is that a 5'9", 140-pound guy with a ballpoint pen-drawn goatee is somehow regarded as "hardcore". The average middle school football player would be able to just annihilate him in a fight....just like Jim Everett.

I like Jim Rome. Believe me he isn't the only one who thinks a half is too little.

You can't hate everyone or everything that says one bad thing about UT>

I can't stand listening to Rome. Like nails on a chalkboard.

However, I agree that a half game suspension is a joke.

Jim Rome whores himself out to popular opinion of the moment. He'll criticize, make fun of, ridicule, etc. this and that, then later self righteously gives the recipient of such venom "props" when he's see's fit to satisfy popular opinion.

Might be funny every once in a while, but he's got no character and no substance. He'll kick a dog when its down and pucker up to the rear end of the current media darling. His opinions are only those which he figures Joe Sixpack will buy into. He's a media whore and a tool, nothing more, nothing less.

I think he's great. I loved the Raider's comment today...."Just kick 'em in the testes baby!" :lolabove:

That's about exactly how I feel about Rome. He's kinda like the bread that you get before dinner: he satisfies your sports crave during the week, but then ruins your main course by filling you up with a bunch of mediocre fluff.

Funny at times? Of course. But I'm sure as hell not going to lose any sleep over his comments.
