Worley will have the opportunity to connect on some deep balls because Mike Stoop's defense is very aggressive leaving man coverage frequently. He believes in trade offs with creating sacks and possibly giving up a couple of deep throws. He will want to rattle your QB and if he has to blitz to do it he will take that risk. I like this strategy because you can have all world talent in your secondary but if the QB has all day to throw he will find an open receiver. Thus, I would rather have an excellent D Line and a decent or good secondary than the other way around. Bama has done this well for the last few years with great success.
Huh? Worley will not have all day to throw. He will have defenders in his face fast and often. Worley will need to be on his best game - ever - click and release in milliseconds to back off that OU D. Pressure for pressure. He must press the pass and be accurate at 10-15 yards to get beyond the front 7. Difficult task - unless OU is not as fast as advertised.
