It is absolutely mind boggling to me that Saban would play the football player in question for the assault after the game.

My head is spinning that the mentioned broadcast team chose to bring the issue up and offer opinions or any information regarding the situation in Knoxville.

It makes it appear that they were asked or told by someone at Alabama to speak on the issue and water it down and basically blame the victim.

I will say that based on video evidence the female fan was not shoved as mentioned in the broadcast last night. Shoving isn't condoned either, but it was certainly an attempt to make the action seem less aggressive than a punch or slap.

I'm not suggesting they should have stayed silent about this issue, but to chose to speak on it and make excuses for and defending the action is just literally despicable.

This is a situation that may very well just be beginning as far as the victim seeking legal advice and who knows, there may be some type of investigation going on.

Imagine these broadcasters reaction if the player in question was a UT player and the fan involved was not a UT fan.

I really wonder if they have actually seen the video? It’s a really bad look, but all they were doing is quoting what Saban said. All anybody had to say is, “It was a wild scene where people aren’t thinking clearly and things can happen.”

The notion that a guy effectively wearing body armor was afraid so he hit a girl who was trying to get out of his way is about the dumbest excuse they could have thought up.

He obviously wasn't afraid there would be consequences for his actions, and it seems he was right,

Don't really care about what the announcers say or don't say.

Even when they blatantly lie? One of them literally stated it was a shove, insinuating that the fan aggressively approached the player. When, in reality, the fan ran around the player and was then struck by an open or closed hand in the face.

It's the media. I understand where you are coming from and you are correct.

Herbie is a full blown crying POS.
He also said during the game a late push on Young that was flagged for roughing the passer was a make up call from Knoxville....
Just because you think it doesn't mean you need to say it. Sometimes less is more.

Fans rushing a football field are putting themselves at risk. Like jumping in the ring with a bull or running down a flight line at an airshow. Dont mind taking the risk, go for it, but, don’t complain when you get clobbered by the crowd or someone running for cover in a uniform.

Running for cover in full pads vs a girl in a sundress. Clobbered! She posed no threat to the strong and fast Football player. come on man!

So, his action was okay with you?

I tried watching the game but they made it really hard with their incessant love for all things Saban and Bama. It was almost like Herbie had been drinking before the game and got to emotional when talking about it.

I thought he played. I wasn't sure.

I suggest reading the facts regarding the player you are referencing. He was initially suspended and an attorney has spoken on the issue. To my knowledge, the player did not play yesterday. Maybe the player will this coming Saturday, but again, I suggest reading about the matter

He had the red eye when he was on Gameday, as well. Looked like he had a late night. Probably happens more than we realize
