Fox being sued for allegedly broadcasting ‘lies’ about Dominion

If a defamation lawsuit by opine is open to lawsuit..Lordy we all gonna be rich!
Who are you referring to?

The Trump Team of Sidney Powell, Rudy Giuliani, Lin Wood and Jenna Ellis never phrased their allegations as opinions. Neither did Lou Dobbs, Maria Bartiromo, or Jeanine Pirro when they repeated those same allegations. Their allegations were stated as having been factual occurrences, which they would be able to conclusively prove later on - but never did.

Considering you're the one backtracking, maybe you ought to consider your own advice.
I'm not backtracking on anything. Lou Dobbs was fired because he repeated Powell's allegations. It is fair to say that Fox News was responsible for those lies being spoken on their networks.

They made specific allegations of fraud, which they could not prove. As attorneys, they should have known better.

Wait, you're all over the place! First it was Fox News said it. Then it was Sidney Powell and Rudy Giuliani. Now Lou Dobbs was fired because he repeated Powell's claim. Have you actually seen any of this or are you just repeating some talking points you've read on the internet?

And your latest post kind of begs the question: If Fox News fired Lou Dobbs for saying what Dominion says is a dubious claim, seems as it Fox News did what it should have done, right?

$5 says he has not actually seen any of what he is claiming, just repeating (inaccurately based on his posts) something he read somewhere on the net.

The 1st Amendment doesn't protect acts of defamation. I cannot believe that four attorneys would think it's okay to spread lies about a business in such a public manner. They had to know that Dominion and Smartmatic would file suits.

LOL.

You took this same approach with doubting that Herschel Walker had falsely claimed that he had graduated from Georgia in the top 1% of his class ... and I posted videos of him doing exactly that.

Do you really want to doubt that I can post videos of this? I think you know how this will turn out.

And, if I recall, your claims about that were all over the place as well. Yeah, I do know how it is likely to turn out with your track record. Things not as you claimed and taken out of context.

I really don’t care. This will amount to nothing and next week you’ll be on the next “we finally have them” story. It as predictable as the sun rising.

That's not how it was at all.

I said that Herschel Walker claimed to have graduated from the University of Georgia in the top 1% of his class on multiple occasions. You doubted that he had done this, with the same snarky tone that you have displayed here. I posted two separate videos of him doing exactly that.

So for Dominion to win they will have to reveal thier algorithms, and prove thier system cannot be hacked or was not online during the election. Those last 2 claims already have videos and documents showing the machines hacked and data transfer during election day....so the algorithms is the money..... if I remember that was a big claim....tough to prove without the internal access to the system

That is not true.

You actually believe either CISA or WAPO?

BTW did you note this statement in the article?

“We have no evidence that these vulnerabilities have been exploited and no evidence that they have affected any election results,”

That "we have no evidence" thing is the clue. That's far different from proving something. You actually have to investigate to have evidence. CISA is largely another taxpayer funded bureaucratic joke.

Yes, I do believe the CISA over the word of right-wing nuts who never provide proof of a damn thing. The burden of proof rests with the people making the accusations of wrongdoing/fraud. You have NOTHING.

... and I don't believe for a minute that you could even explain what the CISA is.

Actually I took a dive into what CISA's charter is, what they do, and what they had accomplished and had outstanding with respect to voting systems well over two years ago. Not impressed with them any more than all the other people supposedly implementing cyber safety programs. We leak like a rusted out sieve, and nobody seems to be getting a handle on it.

BTW, have you actually looked at what passes for electronic voting system certification? Pizz poor. Basically it has been feed in a batch of "votes" and see if the machine comes up with the right answer. That doesn't answer much except that the machine can do basic integer math - actually just addition of ones.

As far as the other part "we have no evidence". That's a complete copout used for years. It's a far better line than the alternative "we have no clue, and we aren't even looking into the issue". It's a brushoff phrase used when management and politicians are dodging an issue Sometimes when their azzes get hung out to dry and they are actually forced to admit there is a problem and deal with it, it's followed by other phrases like "we were unaware at the time" and "people in the chain of command covered up ...".

You haven't said anything regarding what CISA actually does. LOL

You have no evidence of what you want to believe happened. Just like Sidney Powell and the Fox News clowns. Evidence is what you should have, if you are going to publicly accuse a company of malfeasance. It's clear cut defamation. They couldn't support their desired beliefs ... so they lied.

The results in the 2022 mid-term elections were consistent with the results from the 2020 Presidential General Election. Donald Trump and his beliefs have fallen out of favor with independent voters in key battleground states such as Pennsylvania, Georgia, Michigan and Arizona. That is why he lost the 2020 election ... and why Trump-endorsed candidates did so poorly in those states in the mid-terms.

You can go here Homepage | CISA and read a multipage word salad that CISA calls a charter. You can also check into a list of typical bureaucrats heading up the organization. Mostly it's a bunch of blather about another self serving, self perpetuating bureaucracy with no real worthwhile track record. You got any other federal agencies you wish to nominate for sainthood because they are so efficient and their record so excellent that we can sleep at night knowing all is well?

You're right; I have no evidence of election fraud, but that doesn't mean there is no fraud. Of course, people had evidence about Trump malfeasance even before he was in the WH ... until they didn't. The funny part is that nobody bothered to track down and prosecute the people who ran the smear campaign. So what's your take on people who enter congress, receive a modest income, and become extremely wealthy? Crooked or proof that we elected some extremely competent people?
