Here is a video that somewhat consolidates this lawsuit down, feel free to watch the entire thing, but the good stuff starts where I began the video. Dominion says their software sucks and is riddled with bugs.

Dominion has to prove it was a "public figure" before Fox put the spotlight on them.
Public officials and figures must prove that a libelous statement was published with knowledge that it was false or with reckless disregard of its truth or falsity (actual malice).

It's no slam dunk case, and they very well may lose if they take it that far. My guess is now that they've gotten proof the everyone at Fox thought the election stuff was bogus they've probably accomplished what they wanted to.

When a company starts claiming "proprietary software" for counting positive integers, you can bet there's some shady stuff going on. That's one of the first things anybody ever learned in computer science. I worked hard to stop us from doing business with a company that sounds just like Dominion - claimed to use technology (proprietary technology that they kept hidden at that) to get around expensive hydro testing. Turned out at least one other company fell for it ... then paid fines to the NRC, and then faced the cost of retesting the right way. This company even lied about the proprietary part (acoustic leak detection); it was something many of us had been doing for years for legitimate reasons, and it was obvious it wasn't reasonable for their stated purpose. Same goes for the Dominion system and "security". Dominion = HOAX.

It’s a machine that counts votes, just how complicated does the software need to be? A damn analog machine could do the same.

Exactly, and if you are hiding that behind a "proprietary" shield, then there's something to hide, and that isn't adding integers. Either the system is flawed or there are ways of manipulating it. I'd be looking at something similar to the scandal over how VW diesels passed emission tests because they were designed to do one thing on the road and another while under testing.

Where they F'd it up is when they decided it needed to be "accessible" to the World Wide Web for software updates. It's a glorified adding machine, what kind of software changes do you need to make to add numbers together?

To be honest, if these VW's were getting 40-50 mpg, who GAF what their emissions were?

Last time I looked adding integers hasn't changed for a few millennia., and nothing new has been added to ballots ... we don't get a vote against a candidate, so there aren't even negative integers to add - despite vote counts dipping in the middle of the night.

I was my plant's SPA for all things combustion and it was difficult at best to keep up with the new regulations that we had to follow every year. Our environmental department were like gnats handing out annoying reminders of compliance that needed to be followed and the endless paperwork. We had a pretty good program that we followed to keep equipment running in tip-top shape and people safe, but the government was like an evil nemesis that came along to look for a T not crossed or an I not dotted. Stacks and stacks of paperwork to satisfy the government machine.

You can't reconcile the things that Tucker Carlson was saying in private text messages, with what he was saying on the air. There is just too much of a discrepancy between them.

Simply put, Tucker Carlson was expressing opinions while he was on the air, concerning fraud in the 2020 Presidential Election, which he didn't actually think were true. We know this, because he was saying just the opposite in private. He is a two-faced fraud, who manipulates his viewers by telling them whatever he thinks they want to hear. By his own admission, in those private text messages, he does this because it is good for ratings.

Tucker Carlson cares more about Nielsen ratings, than he does in being genuine and having integrity.

The pathetic part of this, is that even though his viewers can now see that he has been manipulating them, they will still watch his show anyway ... because even though Carlson is being disingenuous with them, he is still telling them what they want to hear - and that is all that matters when you are not intelligent enough to think for yourself - as most Republican voters aren't.
