Usually, yeah. They at least try to seem objective. But most of the local guys out here, for example, don't try to hide their contempt for the SEC. They're pretty much shamelessly pro-Pac 12. So even when it comes to being objective they aren't always much better than fans.

It's not relevant at this point to go back 20, 10 or 5 years ago. You can find an upset in college football with every team. Does not prove anything....doesn't validate it either.....

Vandy 2005 Jay Cutler enough said. There will always be upsets in College football...not a vegas worthy way to project the score....They have us winning....that's all that matters.

The guy probably learned all about this matchup by watching ESPN. Mass inexperience on both lines! I guarantee you this guy could not name 1 player on ether side of the ball for UT or USU. Relax.

Everybody predicts TN to get upset every yr in the opening game and every yr they look stupid as hell. And they will this yr too.

There is a distinct difference between a historically relevant program from a major conference, and a Mountain West team that boasts a short series of moral victories over BCS teams in the last 4 years.

This debate is getting.....oh nevermind.

USU is MTSU, WKU, Cincinnati, et al. This will not be close.

Look--- yes we have "inexperience" throughout the lineup and our O and D lines are new.... we also have a senior QB who should stay calm and manage the game, a senior RB who has been through the gaunlet, three WRs who can hang with anyone in the SEC, two all SEC-type LBs and another freak athlete LB, two DEs who are strong and fast and smart, a solid DB, and a Safety that is solid and has plenty of experienc and will not be easily fooled..... its funny how everyone is focusing on the line play (which i know wins and loses games), but we have experience in key positions that will get us through this first game and we will build momentum through the season. Everyone just needs not to freak out the first quarter if things are tight....

The difference in the athletes will be very apparent, as it always is in theses games. We don't recruit the same type of athletes (especially now that Dooley is gone) that USU does. That will be a glaring, stark, sobering aspect of this game.

You can't coach size and speed, and those attributes cover a host of deficiencies on a football field.

p.s. im getting my facts from ncaa 14 updated new rosters with new players and UT beat the * out of utah state!
