If, behind the scenes, they are running him out [ which I bet is the case], they will never select Foster. A new regime is in the works. New blood like PJ Fleck at W Michigan.

You got it right and as Basilio said 2 weeks ago, people in the AD were wanting him out and he was wanting to stay at least till next year. He had been wanting this Bristol game for years, now he want get to coach in it.

Is this true cause i got the impression he was pretty entrenched at AZ. Didn't know he was having issues with AD. If so I wouldn't touch him tbh because he falls every where he goes for one reason or another. I don't see it one way or another. Tom Hermin would be perfect fit.

Beamer was good for VT.

But it is sort of sad for a school that you lose your head coach and all of your football tradition at one time.

Lane Kiffin vs. UT on 9-10? ;)

You might as well bring in Shane McMahon to promote the event early 2000's style if this were the case. Throw in some Kiffin sound bytes in the spring, and start printing money.

I've heard Rich Rod from several VT alum. If it were me, I'd stay away from the up and comers and go with David Cutcliffe. He may give you only 8 years but he can win.

Their new coach could be Kiffin.
He wants to be head coach again and is looking to get out from under Saban's baleful glare.

Kiffin is pretty much going to have to prove to any team's upper management- be it a college team's AD or an NFL team's F.O. - that he can be trusted with being in charge of another program.

Because what happened in Oakland, TN, and USC was all less than 10 years ago. It's still on his résumé and will still be fresh enough on the minds of any professional interviewing him.

I'd retire before I had to face Butch and the boys too.

We are feared by many.

UAB shut their whole football program down to avoid us. Spurrier bolted mid season to avoid us. Now Beamer is getting out before the battle at Bristol to a oid us.

I live in Virginia and I've heard a lot people close to the program say that Bud foster has had a problem with partying and hanging around the college girls. Not sure how true it is.

Good points. I could see him eventually gettting a job somewhere like Fresno State or San Diego State, and then parlaying that into a destination job he will actually respect and protect when he finally grows up.

No problem, he is just trying to qualify for the offensive coordinator position when it opens at Alabama.
