The first thing out of everyone's mouth when the ruling came down, was the lack of "guardrails" on this first pass. It's imperative the whole system evolves. Kind of crazy to think that won't happen given we're at beginning of a new horizon in collegiate athleticsMaybe with the collective but not with the school. Can’t stop them from transferring. If it was that simple, why aren’t they already doing it?
No doubt about that. The question is how it can be done. As it exists now, the court rulings don’t allow any limits/caps on NIL or transfers. Contracts with the school might change that but there will have to be some things done to allow those. I’m not proficient enough in labor law to know how that works. The first thing out of everyone's mouth when the ruling came down, was the lack of "guardrails" on this first pass.
