You guys know the drill.

Who's going to the game and who's watching at home or at a bar/restaurant? Other plans this weekend? Food menu? Anyone checking out a high school game tonight? Other college games you're excited to watch this weekend?

... or whatever is on your mind.

Watching from home in Murrells Inlet, SC. Jealous of my nephew, a sophomore at UT, who'll be in the student section, and my sister, niece and brother-in-law, who'll be screaming from the upper deck. I almost flew up for the game, but I've had a nagging case of bronchitis and just didn't want to travel. Boo!

Unfortunately, not making it to this game...but y'all will be able to hear me in Knoxville from the mountains here in Western Virginia (ya know John Denver's song was ACTUALLY about "WestERN Virginia" where I am...kinda like "Dixieland Delight" is actually a TENNESSEE song...sung by guys from/named Alabama...(actually Myrtle Beach if you know the REAL story...)

*WOOT* *HISSSSSS* *HEEEEEEEEEEEYYYYYYY*

Oops...sorry...started to sound like one of them Aggie Yell-Girls in the overalls!

so after I get done pretending in my office...I'm headed home to kiss my beautiful wife and sit on my porch with my dear DEAR Friend George...

I'm trying to be productive at work but I'm finding it very difficult. I can't wait for the game tomorrow!

Attending extended family wedding at 2pm

Gonna come down with something (cough, cough) prior to arrival to duck out shortly thereafter for game time (It's Football Season, duh?)

Probably have a sampling of the snacks and spirits first!!

Working like a maniac so I can get off work by a reasonable hour today so I can play Starfield -- I mean -- get ready for the game tomorrow. Uh. By playing Starfield.

That aside, I'm just a little nervous about how not-nervous I am. It feels like some spillover from last year's team, where I was confident that Tennessee would come out firing every game. This year's team is not that team , of course, but our line is patched up, the guys had two weeks to recover, and now is Tennessee's chance to get back into the conversation. I should be more nervous, but I'm not. Ready to see Tennessee go out there and show folks what time it is.

Trying to talk my really work responsible wife to sign off and join me for a tasty one at our local brewery. She is such a rule follower. Some nonsense that she is leading the companywide meeting and has to be there blah blah blah. Tomorrow heading to a memorial service right as the game starts but I hear there is a tv so hopefully the funeral home has streaming capability. Go Vols!

I have a booth at the Lester Flatt Celebration, Liberty Square in Sparta during the game. I may be able to watch on my iPhone as that will the only chance I get. We do not receive local channels on TV (we don't watch much TV) and Paramaount +, which does carry the game, does not allow recording.

Going to the game. Section Y9... will be wearing white. My highschool team is idle tonight (we didn't use to have open dates back in the day.) Possibly Coors light and a Smokey dog tomorrow in the stadium or something before the game at Saloon 16 ...... although Ale steak skewers and Mountain lite drafts are hard to beat as an appetizer at Calhoun's.... to be determined later.

Read a terrific story on the front page of today's edition of the Knoxville News Sentinel on the Colquitt family and how Dustin has two sons that are playing wide receiver and punter at Knox Catholic, The patriarch of the family Craig has 9 grand children.

There might be another Colquitt booming the football at Tennessee some day.

I am sure that CME knows about those kids and is recruiting them.
