Been a tough week my dad's best friend since child hood, basically an Uncle to me, passed away in a motorcycle accident last Sunday. Just 61. Funeral was today. Looking forward to enjoying some football this weekend and clearing my head.
Man sorry to hear this.

What are the go to cartoons these days? They can't be as good as Scooby, The Flintstones and Captain Caveman.
Here at my home it's , SpongeBob, Paw Patrol and Big City Greens... sometimes I can talk them into a movie on Peacock, believe I have watched the Mario Bros about 12 times in the last month but whatever keep the peace...

Oh man, I'm sorry to hear that. I sincerely pray your dad, and you can find comfort. My best friend is still my best friend, I couldn't imagine.

Some of you know about my wife, we've got the opportunity maybe for something that would not only help, but change and possibly pro long her life. I'll make a post later, there's a thread in the zone with details for anyone nosey like me. Just wanted to mention quickly, for those that pray, please keep us in your prayers for this. Don't mean to hijack the thread Freak, just need every prayer we can get that this happens, and works!

Don't apologize to me. I'm glad you did. I'm sure there are many here, like me, that have followed your wife's struggles over the years. Feel free to post further details in this thread, if you'd like. The Freak family will keep you in our prayers, for sure.

Only one more year until NCAA Football 2024, assuming it happens. How do you like Starfield so far? I haven't had a chance to play it but it seems most people are enjoying it.

OH YES! One year. I'm hopeful. Very hopeful. I used to "coach" Tennessee for decades on the old ones. Looking forward to seeing how they handle NIL and recruiting in the new one. And let's all just hope they fixed the janky version of "Down the Field" they used for Tennessee, where that one flute player was completely out of tune, and every time we scored as UT we had to hear that damn out-of-tune flute. Ugh. Please, EA, please fix that. Fingers crossed.

Starfield, well, the beginning of Starfield was very, slow. I had some trouble getting myself through it. And while the game is perfectly fine I guess, I'm just not hooked - not yet anyway. The aesthetic and gameplay feel as if they were designed by a committee, rather than by someone with an inspired vision. Lots of options and settings and little business, but it doesn't feel unified. And the game's got a vague sense of sterility underlying it that's hard to shake. It's filled with worlds and places and names you're supposed to obviously learn and care about, but it's almost a chore and it hits you from the start. Thus far, I've struggled to find the awe of space I would want to feel. So ... I'm neither underwhelmed nor overwhelmed so far. Just whelmed.

Anyway, it's decent? I guess? It's the 3.6 roentgen of video games; neither great, nor terrible. It is certainly a game. If you squint just a bit, you could easily feel like you're still playing Fallout 4 or any other modern Bethesda engine game, especially the conversation system. I'm not sure that's a good thing. But. There it is. Maybe with a little more time, it'll set the hook in me, but not so far.

Thank you. Long story short, she lost her bladder in 2018, and has had constant infection since. They use part of your bowel to do everything after removing the bladder, and with her, the bacteria goes straight to her kidneys. There's some Drs at Keck medical center at the university of Southern California who are going to try to help. If nothing goes wrong, she's going to be the first ever bladder transplant patient. They're going to undo the current setup, and give her a new bladder. It's risky, but we're at a point of desperation. Worse case, they said they can fix her, but they want her to get a bladder, and be normal again.

The 2023 Vols season, potential, and results, start at UF in two weeks.

It's a given that UT is 2-0 headed into Gainesville.

UF is "Week Zero". Win there, and we're in the hunt.

Lose, and we need help. Which we are not likely to get.

Go Vols.
