You guys know the drill.

Who's going to the game? Tailgating plans?

Those not going, what's your plan? Watching with friends/family? Going out to a bar/restaurant? What's on the food menu?

What else is on your agenda this weekend? Anyone catching a high school game tonight? What other NCAA games are you looking forward to this weekend?

I'd like to hear about any game day superstitions you might have. And those watching from home, let's see pics of those man caves!

As always, it's an off topic thread, so feel free to post about whatever is on your mind.

So I did a little drive by of Swamp Gas, and after showering the swamp slime off me, I parsed their score prediction thread to see what those lousy Gator bums are predicting for the game -

Out of 54 respondents, the consensus pick was Florida, 40 out of 54 voters, or 74% of voters, or about 3:1. The average final score prediction of all the posts was 25-23.

If we just take the 40 people picking Florida, the average score prediction was 27-20 for the Gators.

And if we take the 14 posters who picked Tennessee, the averaged score prediction was 31-17 for the Vols.

Seems like their fans are either convinced (barely) that Florida can eke out a win, or they're predicting Tennessee will double them up.

Now if you'll excuse me, I don't think one shower's enough to get the stink off.

Also tonight is 100% Starfield. I said last week that the game felt antiseptic, and it still does feel that way, but it also gave me a lot of fun space guns to shoot dirty space pirates with, and then it gave me a space ship to shoot dirty space pirates with, and then it told me I could board their dirty space pirate ships and take them for myself, and after doing so a few times I realized that I had become a dirty space pirate, and now there's other people trying to shoot me and my dirty space pirate ship with their fun space guns.

But my gun is bigger. And dirtier. And space piratey-er.

I could write a dissertation on what I'd change about Starfield, but overall the "world" is sort of open and it's fine with you stumbling on things that are way out of your league, which I love because I view over-leveled enemies as sort of organic puzzle to solve - "how can I kill this thing and take its massively over-leveled weapon for myself earlier than I should have it?" And the game lets you do it. And then the game gives you ships and crews and outposts and housing and custom ships and why am I writing about this when I could be playing it?

Got errands to run this afternoon and evening.

Tomorrow is our annual Family Freedom Fest at the VFW. It's a good time with lots of stuff for the kids to do and lots of great food.
That wraps up in time to get back home and catch the game...probably grab a couple burgers or "designer" dogs off the food truck as we'll be beyond tired.

I'll be keeping an.eye on the Bama vs USF game during the event as I'm curious how Golesh fares in his first year.

Idk how y'all eat during games. I'm on pins and needles for the duration, and my stomach is usually all to pieces as a result.

Man, Tennessee football taught me that I can be a nervous eater. People joke about the "freshman fifteen," well, I'm pretty sure I picked up the "Tennessee ten" over the past decade.

Wife and I are headed down I-75 to Gainesville for our first experience in the swamp. Have heard all the horror stories some have posted on here, but we'll just have to take our chances. Plus, when you're 6'3" and 250+ lbs, people tend to leave you alone. Went to Baton Rouge last year and had a wonderful time. Here's hoping this trip turns out the same. After that we're heading on to Cocoa Beach for a few days. Go Vols!!!

That's how I am too. I didn't even have dinner last week until late in the fourth quarter and even then I wasn't that hungry. Will try to eat something beforehand tomorrow and have drinks on-hand either way.

I'm headed to the game bright and early to tailgate. Will be drinking orange vodka, in my orange power T hat, in my checkerboard overalls, with my Vol Nikes, and listening to all the songs about the Vols, as is my tradition. Will play Joker and the Thief just before heading in, since its an away game!

I've been going for years, and never have had a problem. Enjoy!

Watching with family and friends. Smoking a Brisket, some pork ribs, smoked onions, and potatoes. Stuffed smoked jalapenos wrapped in bacon for appetizers. Plenty of cold beverages to go around. There should be one Gator in the crowd. I hope he gets mad and goes home at halftime. lol He loves to dish it out but he can't take it. GO VOLS!!!!!!

Heading to Gainesville tomorrow. Cool story... yesterday my son (pictured) met Britton Colquitt after he commented on my son's Tennessee Vol backpack, I picked up from the University of Tennessee bookstore. Apparently, his daughter is in my son's 4th grade class here in Florida. We live on 30A ( Rosemary Beach ). I heard they were also going to the game, so today I sent my business card with my son to pass along through his daughter with the message that I would love to get together with them tomorrow to tailgate. Let's see what happens...

Go Vols!!

Still deciding on whether to go deer hunt in the morning or go try to catch some Hybrid Stripers. Either way...I'll be home with a fridge full of Voodoo Ranger Juice Force or Imperial IPAs by 12:00 PM. After our Victory, I will get the steaks on the Akorn (Waffle House Hours is what I call it when I grill late at night.)
