Fred Thompson needs to lay it down

He is the candidate that understands the fact that we get our rights and blessings from GOD. Not the Federal Government.

So we get another bible-thumper in the WH? TBH I'm not looking fwd to this election.

Odd how Limbaugh seems to be praising Mitt after his speech this morning. Bandwagon jumper? I guess Fred counted on the wrong non-influential talking head.

U-T,
To suggest that Rush would feel threatened by Air America very comical.

Comical and Rush go together quite well....As is most of the garbage Rush states in an upbeat, loud voice to somehow make his lacking point seem stronger. That seems to be the "new thing" in media politics these days. You get these loud-talking, arrogant men who know they are only half-informed of the ENTIRE issue so their way of making their points seem as strong as possible are to yell, talk fast, and cut off people who call in because they don't want them to finish their points OR disagree with what they have to say.

If you want to argue a point, please say something that makes sense.

In other words, you don't like what I said so you don't want me to repeat it?

Is that your way of arguing....trying to dumb down the other person by trying to act like their opinion doesn't make sense when it is pretty straight-forward?

Surely you can come up with something better than that.

The Democrats would stop at nothing to shut up Rush because he speaks the TRUTH

Except when it comes to pain pills

It is a very sad day in America if Rush is the voice of reason.

It is a very sad day when Americans will not seek the "truth" for themselves.

As a former Fred-head I see no possible way that Fred is going to be elected President no matter how much I like him.

Fred blew it on many levels, especially when he was advised to go with attack mode.

Cut to the chase, Fred has no substance......

Fred has more substance than anyone in the GOP. Some people don't like him because he has an easy-going attitude and he is not as slick and sly as the others. Their records will prove to be their campaign killers and Fred will rise to the top when the true voting matters. True conservative Americans are smart enough to realize this reality.

Rrrrriiiiiigggghhhtttttt........................

The only thing the GOP is concerned with is defeating Hillary.

This means wasting away their core beliefs.....

They will soon realize that Fred can beat Hillary by standing up for the core Christian and conservative values that have, are, and will continue to guide this country. You guys will be shocked.

I am NOT going to vote for Hillary, I don't like Hillary (though I didn't mind Bill), and I don't dislike Fred.....but, he won't come close to winning anything

Just for the hey of it, when he is not nominated will it shock you or be some sort of conspiracy?

The fact that you didn't mind Bill tells me everything I need to know about you. So, Who do you support in this election? I can't wait to find out.

My question is simply this.....What has Fred Thompson done???

Richard Nixon did not think much of him when he was a kid and seemingly not much has changed.

Well hell, somehow I will make it to bed tonight knowing that you figured out everything about me through not minding Slick Willy.

I haven't decided yet.

I like to roam around a bit before I make my decision.

I can understand the blind loyalty because he is a Tennessee man, but how can any one justify their position that he will get the nomination?

Please do not say because Rush said so.

Why will he win the nomination?

FYI, Smoke...you never responded to any of these.

Some are just accusations (which as we all know may not be true in today's game of making accusations up) while others seem to be pretty correct.

Every politician flip-flops including Freddy

If you read all of my posts on this topic you will see why I think Fred will win. As for the question about what Fred has done. What have the other candidates done that would qualify as conservative? Fred has presented many bold policy solutions while the other candidates have only mere talking points. The other candidates all have past backgrounds that DO NOT support their current stances. There is no doubt in my mind that Rush will help Thompson, but I certainly do not think that will win him the election. I simply believe that the American people will realize that Fred is the only consistent conservative in the race. He may not be flashy and slick, but his steady and strong reputation will prevail. That is just my opinion. Fred does not want to twist his appearance or approach to people to be viewed as "electable". If you watched his interview with Charlie Rose then you what I am talking about. He is running as the man he was, is, and will be. He has nothing to hide.

If you want to go this route then why not support Huck?

A solution to the burden of healthcare costs is to educate people on exercise, eating healthly and eating less.

Huck is slick, smooth, and his pulpit experience is propelling him right now. He raised taxes in Arkansas more times than Bill did. The recent surfacing of his handling of pardons in Arkansas is quite disturbing to me. He also attracted illegal immigrants into his state with his scholarship policies. He will fizzle when it comes time to actually dive into the meat of topics instead of being able to use flashy one-liners to deflect the heat. He is socially liberal and just another example of flip-flopping to tell the GOP voters what they want to hear. That will only take you so far.
