Connecticut Officials Push Washington To Offer Free Diapers To Poor Mothers | Fox News

"No family should have to choose between buying diapers for their child or buying groceries – but that is exactly what is happening today," DeLauro said in a statement. "Diapers are expensive, but necessary, to keep children health and in daycare, giving their parents the freedom they need to work."

Well obviously we should make the taxpayers pay for your diapers. It only makes sense.

But that involves washing them. Why should they have to pay such high water bills from washing their cloth diapers?

Does this apply to adult diapers as well?

I make no bones about hating other peoples children. I fail to see the problem with that.

The sponsor of this bill is also the one who originally
sponsored what came to be known as the 'food
safety act' which is very anti small farmer.

Considering the fact that she is absolutely uglier
than a mud fence and her husband is a bigwig with
ADM, the largest food manufacturer and producer
in America and the world, no wonder she wrote in
penalties of a million dollar fine for even minor
infractions, what small time farmer can afford a
million dollar fine?

Eliminate the competition is the name of the game.

I can only assume, with her past history, that she
is heavily invested in Huggies or Pampers.

Like most all democrats I surmise she is much more
interested in the almighty dollar than dirty lil butts.

Why do people keep reelecting idiots like this?

Evidently the liberal free condom program isn't working.

The Portland School Board voted unanimously to allow anti-war protesters to set up alongside military recruiters in public high schools. Well that doesn't seem very balanced if there's no booth for Al Qaeda.

with the way my kid is running through them I can understand the idea. However we understood the cost before having him and knew it was something we could manage without giving up groceries. People seem to evaluate cost on lots of things before buying but don't do that with children.

On a side note, if anyone is having a child in the near future look at the Amazon auto-delivery service. Really good stuff

the one thing that has pissed me off the most over the past year has to be the adult baby.

Probably driving a Lincoln Navigator back to their section 8 houses also. Can you say government failure?

You guys sounds like OWSers when you say "they probably have HBO and Cinemax, cell phones, and Navigators." Same difference, just the other side of the fence.

Exactly. There's no question there are a ton of people abusing government programs, but it doesn't mean we should dissolve certain programs altogether. Blanket statements are retarded.

It's "this or that" thinking that has this country looking like **** lately.

You cut out the "ton" and its a non issue.

a lot of people just assume it's a ton. I have no idea what the number looks like - but I'm willing to admit that.

How in the world is it justified to use taxpayer dollars to pay for people who make poor choices. These women decided to have children that they couldn't afford, we didn't. A perfect solution to me would be to put these children up for adoption to families who can't have children but have the means to support them.
