I went last year. It was glorious. Singing Rocky Top over My old kentucky Home was classless yet beautiful and I didn't care.Yes. If you ever get a chance, go to a game in Lexington.
They hate the orange so badly that snot rolls down their cheeks.
One of the best experiences ever...especially when they have good team, we have bad team, and Vols still win.
Makes me laugh just thinking about LittleCat
I think I’d have to disagree here as a vast majority of our fanbase would put Bama at the top. I don’t know a single Vol fan who doesn’t have Bama at the top of their list.Tennessee is a little unique in that there isn't a consensus among our own fans who our biggest rival is, and none of the teams our fans would consider to be our biggest rival see Tennessee as their biggest rival. Conversely, we in no way consider Vandy and Kentucky to be big rivals but they both consider us to be their biggest rival.
It is also a generational thing. Most fans 55+ and under-25 would probably say our biggest rival is Alabama. A lot of people who came of age in the 90s and early 2000s would probably say Florida.
I think the first comment is true. When fans ask my dad who grew up watching Tennessee in the 90s who our biggest rival is he says it’s tight between Florida and Bama. He hates Florida much more than me because he grew up in that heated rivalryI think I’d have to disagree here as a vast majority of our fanbase would put Bama at the top. I don’t know a single Vol fan who doesn’t have Bama at the top of their list.
Thank you for asking.Who do the Vols view as your rivals? I’m sure you have more than one.
No. We go back over 100 years with Vandy.A crazy hypothetical question from another outsider—if Memphis was brought into the SEC, after say 10-15 years, would they become a bigger rival than Vanderbilt? How do you think there football team would do after building the program up/increased revenue for 15 years? I am just assuming basketball would be very competitive from day one.
Saban recently said on game day that Tennessee was a bigger rival to Bama than Auburn.Tennessee is a little unique in that there isn't a consensus among our own fans who our biggest rival is, and none of the teams our fans would consider to be our biggest rival see Tennessee as their biggest rival. Conversely, we in no way consider Vandy and Kentucky to be big rivals but they both consider us to be their biggest rival.
