ESPN still pushing Tebow. After the story they showed the Tebow stas list and went over it item by item. Sorry, no Colt Brennen stats shown.

Side note: Hawaii opens at Florida Aug. 30th. Think any of this will be on the bulletin board?

> means greater than

ESPN said Woodson was the top college FB player above Manning . (We know it wasn't true)

The line above ESPN means not (or opposite)

So the opposite of ESPN would be good (inferring ESPN is not good)

There will be a pop quiz Friday

the line above ESPN is what threw me.... I do remember but it was long ago in a far away land...

Sorry, but that is a ridiculous comment. This kid is completely legit. He is probably the best QB in the country. I'll put it this way. When the Dolphins announce the #1 pick in the NFL draft there is about a 50% chance that it will be a player from Hawaii. And to say that the possible #1 draft pick does not deserve to be in the same room is hilarious.

Your comments are based soley on conjecture based off of his SOS. The people who have actually seen him play a lot know how good he is. With all that being said, I think D-Mac is the best football player in the country. I think he will be a great pick for somebody at #2 in the NFL draft.
I dont doubt this guy is a good QB, but the Dolphins have Beck, who they are in love with. And they are paying big money to Ronnie Brown. This looks like a trade down. But this guy is in the same system that has produced guy like Ware, Klingler, and so on and so on. Plus Chang looms large.

In my humble opinion, I would rather have Brennan throwing the ball any day. I've watched him play four times and I stand amazed at his accuracy. I predict he will tear the NFL up once he has a pro line to block for him.

Tebow is a better runner...duh...but throwing the ball...give me Brennan...the man is amazing when he puts that ball in the air!

I dont see one false statement in what he said. The media picks the heisman, bottom line. That is why it is an award that is not worth anywhere near as much as the hype that it gets. This award means nothing.

Amen to that. We saw what ESPN and the media did to Manning.

Tebow deserves the Heisman. He hasn't had a bad game all year. Consistency is what gives it to him, plus ESPN hype.

McFadden ran for 43 yds and no TDs vs. Auburn. That's his bad game.

Brennan threw 5 picks vs. Idaho and 4 vs. San Jose. Also played a weak schedule.

Chase Daniel is really freakin' good, if he hadn't lost to Oklahoma he'd win based on media hype. Look at his stats. They're really pretty good.

Pat White isn't in the discussion. There are clearly more qualified candidates.

Now in terms of Pro Potential, I'd rank McFadden at the top, followed closely by Brennan and Tebow. Daniel could be a flake, but also very possibly great.

This is the year to take a QB in the draft. I wasn't impressed by Russell, Beck, or anyone else last year, but Brennan, Brohm, and Ryan all look very promising. I can't see any difference between Woodson and Byron Leftwich.

Tebow and McFadden may deserve it, but what makes anyone think that an SEC player may actually win it? 7 Heismans in 71 years is a little nuts.

June isn;t the best coach but he has seen NFL talent and I would have to think he knows what he is talking about. I hope like heck they beat UGA. You should hear all the crap I put up with on daily basis.

Well, what I am saying is that Colt was in a system that throws the ball 70 times a game, and the same numbers were put up by Tommy Chang, who is he starting for now?

Colt was the #2 QB in the nation out of High School. He is a NFL QB and will be--I think in the end he jumps Brohm is #1 taken over all--his only minus is age he is already 24---He has the arm, accuracy, quick release, natural leader, and on and on---get ready for him on sundays

And when that happens I will say wow, that Colt Brennan was the real deal, but for now he is in the same run and shoot system that a dozen other QB's have been in, and failed at the NFL level. That and 2 yrs from now when Tebow is a senior I will give an opinion on weather I think this guy is going to be a NFL QB, or another Colt Brennan.

He played a lot of sundays---I would not call him a success but it had nothing to do with his talent neck down--same goes for Brennan-- talent wise he is a can't miss, he has to prove he has the head to play in NFL. I cannot say the same for Tebow, his mechanics are still off-- Brennan can through darts 40 plus down the field and top spin it in to a guy on the run-- He is the real deal---think Favre and I am serious.

And the biggest problem with these comments were that he tore apart a player to build up his own player. You want to come out and support your guy, say he is as good as anyone in the country, cool, but his comments were bush league.
No, apparently ESPN's comments were bush league and he defended his QB as he should by making examples.

Even if Brennan doesn't win the Heisman, Hawaii will drop 50 on Georgia and win the game. He deserves some credit for what he has done. You don't put up those kinda number and just be a second rate QB.

And exactly how was ESPN bush league, I listened to the whole conversation, not just the sound bites from after he started back tracking. He said Tebow couldn't do this, and he couldn't do that. I'm all for building up your guy, but not at the expense of another, because your jealous at the coverage this guy gets. Is Tebow a media darlin, your damn right he is. But thats not his fault, and be quite honest his numbers last year were a hell of alot better than this one. Let me ask you this, if Fla played that schedule, how many TD's would Tebow have at the end of the year?

Look, I absolutely respect your opinion, but I dont believe in can't misses coming out of run and shoot "systems". Their are simply to many examples of the opposite happening with cant miss, "this guy has all the tools". We agree to disagree, and thats cool. Tebow has two more years, and his motion is way to long now, but as much as I hate it, this guy makes Alex Smith look like a high school player, and where did AS go in the draft?

i'm definitely NOT a UF fan, but, i know one thing. i would hate to be june going into gainesville to open next season with a green QB. sheesh.

I think June's comments do nothing but hurt Colt's position. He states that Colt is in an NFL system, and Tebow is in a college system. GREAT! Except the Heisman is supposed to go to the best "College Football Player". COLLEGE. Just because Colt is playing in an NFL based system doesn't make him the best College Football Player in the country. I think that is McFadden.

Besides, being great in the Run and Shoot system in college still doesn't translate to the NFL... Where is Kliff Kingsbury, or Timmy Chang?

If Tebow wins, then the Heisman is nothing more then a big joke. If you want to say that Brennan puts up big numbers because he pass 60 times a game, well Tebow get about the same number of chances with the ball. It's Tebow right, left, up the middle, or he throws a pass.
