FSU. Huge athletic department. Competitive in all sports. Good academics, state public school unlike Miami.

Definitely FSU. I think they would be the more popular pick than Miami although you probably can't go wrong with either. I do think FSU will be back to elite status faster than Miami will.

i would like a good rivalry with Miami, but I think it would be better for the conference to take FSU. 1st off, the Hurricanes stadium is in the slums. Not sure I would want to travel there for a game. There fan base does not travel very well either. I say FSU

FSU. Miami brings nothing to the table. Maybe you can say the Miami TV mkt, but the city really doesn't care about college football. They don't even come close selling out their home games except against the Gators and Seminoles.

Miami offers nothing for a conference like the SEC. Even Vanderbilt's athletic dept makes a lot more money.

True but from a recruiting standpoint Florida would be an SEC strong hold. Give Miami time they will be back.

Yeah but can you imagine trying to recruit a kid to come to UT out of Florida if Miami and FSU join the SEC. At least now we can possibly turn a couple of kids who want to play in the SEC. If all 3 were on TV all the time and playin in the SEC it would be damn near impossible to get anyone who wasn't a scrap all three schools didn't want.

toss up, miami opens up south florida to the SEC and has a huge following. FSU has great GREAT history, and possibly a bigger following. FSU IMO.
