FSU would be better for the conference. Miami would be better for me since I live in south FL.

Their stadium and campus are SEC-like.
Tallahassee is culturally southern.

Miami has no stadium of their own and they are not a good fit culturally.

you can forget georgia tech, clemson, florida state, miami, or louisville being a member of the SEC.

you need a 75% vote to accept a new member.

my understanding is that the athletic directors at georgia, florida, kentucky, and south carolina would have each other's back if one of those was nominated to receive an invite.

Looks like TXAM trying to pull tx and ok to the SEC. I'd prefer Miami by the way for the "sunny weekend trip" reason given above. Beyond that, they're both pretty equal.

This may have been true at one time but the winds of change are blowing and this is now what is best for the conference long term. The Pac 10 will be the Pac 16 by the end of the summer. The Big 10 will be the new Big 12 and possibly more before it is over. The Mountain West just added Boise and is about to cherry pick 2 more from the crumbling current Big 12. The SEC needs to move on change and I think all university presidents see that. I would like to see the SEC add FSU, Va Tech, GA Tech, and Clemson. The ACC would then start cherry picking teams from the Big East such as Louisville, West Va, South Florida and possibly Syracuse of Connecticut. Who knows...but the SEC will need to act first before we are left looking at left overs. Texas A&M makes no sense in my opinion. Adding the 4 teams above increases our football, basketball, and baseball credibility. We would continue to have the most dominant conference in the country. Adding A&M does nothing. Texas will ALWAYS rule Texas in terms of recruiting.

If the sec picks texas a&m over Ga Tech, Clemson, fsu or miami, they are making a huge mistake. Texas A&M is the 3rd best program in the state.

what market are we not already in? cbs and espn are national broadcasts. What theyll get to see the 5th or 6th best sec game on sec network?

Says the guy that has never been to south FL so he doesn't know what he is talking about. Not everyone wants to continue to live at their parent's house like yourself. Get a life and quit throwing rocks from your parent's glass house.
