IF, and it is a big if, they support the team, market the team, and actually want success, there is no reason why they can't be a player in the FCS ranks and maybe somewhere down the line move up to something like the Sun Belt in FBS. They have to WANT that though and need to determine what their ultimate goals are.

It's the not the school giving lukewarm support. It's the students that just don't care. ETSU is, was and always will be a commuter school. No extracurricular activities thrive there and just like football didn't last time, it won't have lasting success this time either.

He got fired, that is not ending a coaching career on a good note.

It can definitely help his legacy by helping ETSU build a successful program.

You do know the worst UT ever finished under Fulmer was 5th, right? Meanwhile, Alabama, Arkansas, Auburn, and Georgia have all won and Alabama leads again this year. Arkansas, Auburn, and Florida are the All-Time "Dynasty" leaders of points. You can bash Fulmer for a lot of things, but his record is no worse than anyone else (actually better).
